What if LibP2P does not provide AutoNAT anytime soon? Do you have an alternative plan?
The team can keep it in if needed. Its not like they can erase it from history.

What do you mean? I don’t understand. I’m thinking about the future, not history.
I mean the code isn’t lost, when the devs use a package they can modify it for their purposes and just add it back on each update
@neo I should probably know this but who owns this forum?
I know it is not Maidsafe even though they pay for it.
I have noticed that devs are very much absent here recently, it is so apparent that I wonder if it is under instruction and partly because this is not an official Maidsafe channel.
I hope that I am wrong but it is a night and day change from previous open dialogue.

Well technically if it came to it, Maidsafe are the responsible ones since they pay for the forum

But it is considered “owned” by the community.
Bux said that some of the devs have been taking time off after the upgrade. Guess they put in a lot of hours. And Bux said that the upgrade did not get to deliver all that it was hoped it would. The devs are again working hard to get the rest done

I will also note that MaidSafe do not have administrative rights in the forum and the connection with the hosting company goes through an email controlled by Neo and me.

What I’m interested in is that in my head the AutoNAT V2 is expected to be a silver bullet for connection issues. I don’t know if that’s what the team thinks though.
Anyway I’m worried it may not come in time and I’d like to know what are the alternatives.

Thanks @Dimitar this in my opinion makes sense as to why Discord has become the favored channel.
I’m 100% sure it’s only a matter of time before control of discord is handed over to the community. You know the plan is for MaidSafe to cease to exist as a company after launch.

Warning its my thoughts only
I have been wondering if that it, the company, is owned by the foundation. The foundation will be giving out tokens for each share. Will it become the owner? To ensure development work is done by someone and those who stay on will be paid via the core devs rewards portion of the royalties.
Be a shame to lose all that good talent who know the code
