Yes, this did indeed work for me! Looks like the node stays up and is getting rewards, TY!

I’m not sure if there is some kind of difficulty between where you are and that S3 server, but that seems unlikely. The eu-west-2 region is located in London, as far as I’m aware.
To be quite honest with you, I’m not really sure what we could do about it. Other than perhaps considering replicating to other S3 buckets or providing an alternate download location, maybe on DO or something.
Edit: is it possible there could be an old version of OpenSSL on your machine or something? I’m not sure.
Unlikely, I keep this Ubuntu updated and nothing else using ssh has shown problems.
Visiting this github link in the browser I have downloaded it but again it seems to be truncated very near the end (fails md5 and to unzip). I first tried curl with the same link and that ended instantly with a zero sized file. I don’t know why there’s a difference between the browser curl
I’ll try via my VPN as well…
With my VPN which runs on my cloud node I have it with safeup right away
It may be that I normally had my VPN running when using safeup, I’m not sure.
Well spotted. It wasn’t a typo but I don’t understand how I got that version as I’ve only been copying and pasting from the OP but my history suggests otherwise. That explains why the faucet is failing so I’ll delete that post pending getting the client installed.
Nodes running with nice and small memory footprint.
Uploading seems to have improved.
Downloading maybe a bit limited by the 16 batch size? I’ll try with different values.
such error happens mostly when there is existing wallet, from previous runs.
better check the client folder and ensure there is no existing wallet folder inside.
I would definitely go for ye olde worlde text version as it’s hard enough to follow as it is without having half of the descriptive passages missing as they are in the audio.
