I was nearly Frontrow, will try harder for next time.
Good little meetup tonight and chatting to people afterwards was very interesting, some good info from David which does open a few more questions from me but I’m going to watch the video tonight and see what I may have missed.
Think there was about 14 of us in the room with very different levels of computer knowledge and idea’s of use for Maid.
Hope to be there for the next one also.

What kind of programming tool or philosophy would fit more naturally with the SAFE network?

Initially just as we do today, no different, but I hope we spark off a really decentralised approach. It is hard to be decentralised and logical as it’s very easy to fall back to centralised structures and control. This brings all the security and trust issues we have to day, so thinking pure logic is going to be what wins I think. Removing hte how do I make money will help a lot there.
Open source hardware with parts available and peer reviewed for safety.
Integrity It seems a self effacing and honest community not too thrown by money and focussed on the goal. This is a really powerful thing to expand upon.

Great advice! Could not find how to explicitly add a timezone in the meetup.com settings - I assume it’s derived from the meetup location (and if you do an export to any calendar format timezone is selected as UK, London).
