Hot on the heels of the latest Network which helped create our largest network yet (over 106,000 nodes!) we have yet another upgrade to boost things even further.
Here’s what you need to do now:
If you are a CLI user, you should upgrade your nodes, no need to reset them. Here’s a short guide on best practices when doing that.
If you are a Node Launchpad User, you simply need to reset your nodes as you did last time.
This will be a seamless upgrade—so no pause in uploads or nanos—but please do update as soon as you get the chance.
But after resetting, and restarting my device, how do I start the launchpad? I have the file with the version node-launchpad-0.3.14-x86_64-unknown-linux-musl in a folder on my desktop. Do I just start that? Or is there a newer version somewhere?
So we have versions of the Launchpad, that are visible to us, and the actual node is just out of sight somewhere. The Launchpad takes care of the actual node upgrade, and upgrading the Launchpad is a separate thing, gotcha!
Last time I think we had the upgrade of the Launchpad at the same time with the node / network upgrade and now I got confused.
I don’t think I’ll earn enough nanos in time to make the cut for the Wave 1 final tally! That said, my 20 nodes are humming along nicely, so I’m still happy with the progress.
