Man what momentum for a testnet.
Happy anniversary @dask!
Thanks! The years have really slid by. Since I first read about maid, I have gotten hitched and had a couple of wonderful kids. I hope this can be part of a legacy for them⦠the world I have brought them into sorely needs SAFE.
Because itās the price thread, I have dutifully accumulated monthly for more than three (four? have to check) years in a row, and started a long time before that. I have only sold once (10% of my stack at 0.8) I have been made fun of by btc and eth maximalist friends, but stayed the course because this vision is unlike any other. And now, like a flash, there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it is not a freight train. For years I have said that anything under 50c is a automatic buy (before a working decentralized network) and here we are.
SAFE has some of the nicest, most mission driven, and capable minds working on it, both at the company, and in the community. Folks, if the testnet works even mostly properly, this is just the beginning.
I remember back in the days when NEO rebranded (not even sure how it was called before). They had the perfect time, start of the bull run, got out a working product and renamed their token (sounds familiar?). They went from $0,11 to $100 in about 6 months. Could be wishful thinking, could be a reality real soon, who knows.
Ant shares!
Yep, thats the one!
The top 100 CMC is above $0.52 level for MAID
Looks like everything pumping up.
Yes and 1bn market cap for all top 50.
Every coin is breaking old time high price will maidsafecoin will also break 1$ supportā¦
Hope so
On the rise again? Anyway, I wonder if itād be best to tell different people around the world different reasons to use the Safe Network? Like, thereās no reason to explain every single aspect about it to every person. Redditors will mainly care about the decentralized forum capability. Investors will care about the DEX capability and secure money. App developers will care about the new market and refreshing reward distributions for their apps. Average people will care about the lack of ads and use of higher speed once enough people use the network globally, and more coding functionality is developed for better looking websites (and theyāll care after probably a number of additional factors, since the current Internet is just that addicting/habitualābut hopefully broken once Safe becomes more like Google but for the People, not Google for Google). Traditional institutions/companies and even credit card companies will jump on board given the supreme security offered against cyber criminals, as soon as they loosen their own ties with global modern day capitalist criminals. (The most successful companies will do that the soonest.) Eventually, each one of these groups will realize, āHey, I can base my entire digital/āonlineā life around this entire new Network!ā I donāt know if Iām off-base with some of these, since these are my scattered thoughts Iāve developed over the years and have stuck to/with.
I use to be a big proponent of promoting what is to come but while the current test net was suppose to be a Christmas gift, it is now more likely a Valentineās Day or Easter treat. Iām not saying Iām upset with it, but the more the project goes on, the more Iām on the side of no timelines and donāt promote it, until you have it working.
I do the exact opposite - I consider myself a moderately intelligent person, I donāt think Iām unique and I understand how uniquely good Safe is, so there must be millions of people like me who would also understand it if someone told them. Thatās why I tell absolutely everyone I met on the street and with whom I exchanged 2 words
There are good reasons why the team donāt usually commit to timelines. They can lead to disappointment.
Once the core tech can be proved, I think it matters less though. If adding some CLI or browser feature is delayed, it doesnāt really matter much. Proving that a better distributed tech than blockchains is a rather bigger deal.
I would just urge the team to keep the focus laser sharp on getting the core out. Stablize the jangling nerves, then start adding bells and whistles. It is whether or not the core works that is critical and we can only see that through proof.
Correct me if Iām wrong, as Iām not the tech nut many of you are. While price of the token doesnāt truly matter other then it functioning properly in the wild, the rewards of farming and keeping those rewards safe, is very much a secret sauce that has to be considered in the core for a functioning network and ecosystem, yes?
100% After the actual network is up then timescales for new features is more likely. The core stuff is hard as itās an amazing amount of moving parts. Features after that are smaller more manageable parts, pulling all nighters to meet those timescales is easy.
For a sustainable test net, for sure. For initial test net, enthusiasts would sustain it though. It will be great to see farming working too, but iterating with features is a good thing, imo.
Edit: to add, if rewards really are just days away, it would be great to have them. The line for initial test net needs to be drawn somewhere though.
Wonder if weāll see any interesting price action around Feb, 8th (Monday) after the weekly close Sunday evening.
Weekly stochastic RSI sloping up and a fresh buy signal on a proprietary indicator. Could be good.
When it comes to fees it would work to the advantage of the SAFE Network if it had a fixed fee per tx. If every asset tx was 0.000000001 regardless of value, it would give users a guaranteed price to send money and predictable tx balance. Tie this in with farming and it might become a frictionless effort.
Bitcoin Dust is only a thing, because the smallest unit of account doesnāt have a useful function in the ecosystem.
Of course we want SAFE to be feeless, further increasing users to adapt it as primary money.
Iām looking forward to MAID priceās continuation of being stubborn against the newest overall crypto rise until it throws its hands up in the air and gives in to its new floor of 45+ cents! (MAIDās own continued natural rise is also still possible.)
