MaidSafeCoin (MAID & eMAID) - Price & Trading topic (Part 2)

Awesome to know. I am going to hold onto my maid a bit longer I think. It’s good to know the forum has buyers and sellers though. Having no exchange access is no fun. Thanks!

Hello Anyone willing to sell me some maidsafecoins via escrow (Any escrow volunteers?). I’m very interested in this project but I can’t get my hands on any coins. The price impact on uniswap is an atrocious robbery, and bittrex isn’t available in my country.

Anyone care to spare some? I would like to be part of this community and a holder.

If someone agrees to sell to you I can help with escrow at no charge.

Will MAID and eMAID be the same price when the time comes? Will there be some way to equalize it?

If there would be enough Emaid pool liquidity then arbitrage would make the price close between Maid and Emaid. The law of one price should hold if most of the criterias are met. RIght now there needs to be more liquidity in the Emaid pool but people removed their liquidity because people did so much arbitrage.

Arbitrage is exactly what makes adding liquidity interesting as liquidity providers earn fee on the traded range. Too little is being traded atm which is my idea why people might rather remove it.

For me it was not worth the hassle, it took too little to move the price 30% up or down, the Emaid pool were dry like the desert.

The pools is what makes defi suck the big one.

The assets represent the exact same thing, so obviously upon network go-live, the price will be equal.

Right now, prices are about the same but because of the low liquidity in the pool, a simple trading algorithm is moving the price up and down massively. There is no arbitrage to be made however.

It’s a real shame to see the liquidity has been pulled from the pool, although I do understand the reasoning behind it. I continue to say that it would be better for us to move away from the 0,3% pool and try to move the liquidity to a 1% pool. At least the liquidity providers get compensated better for the risk they’re taking.

The demand for eMaid has shown much higher in the early days of the pool, people do not realise it, but all the (relative) massive buys and sells came in through uniswap, shortly after however bittrex volume followed as arbitrage was possible after.

Second thing we could do to improve liquidity is have the btc/maid pair swapped for usdc/emaid. Thay way liquidity providers take less risk to be arbitraged against (as you’ve now taken out the BTC volatility).

When we first initiated the whole eMaid idea, it was to allow more people access to the project, have better liquidity (and with that volume) and gain some traction on exchanges (Better volume and easier listing). Back in the days I warned we should fully commit on erc20 or don’t do it all, because doing it the way we did now would only result in lower liquidity and volume on both pairs.

Now I know Maidsafe is all for getting the network out and volume/liquidity will naturally follow shortly after. I dont neccesarily agree on that decision but I do respect it anyway. It would however still be good if the community would step up and provide a tiny portion of their holdings as liquidity. If there’s no liquidity for new users to enter the market, most of them simply will not enter.

Now <500 sats. Not an ATL but heading that way.
Obviously the strength of BTC is a factor and in terms of “real money” your MAID token is worth more at 500 sats today than it was at ~2000 way back when…

Still effing depressing though.
Xmas pressies for family or load up on more cheap MAID? decisions, decisions…

In permaculture we say that within the problem is the solution.

I.e. the Christmas presents are the cheap MAID :tada:

Nope. Cant see that leading to a happy and harmonious winter festival celebration.

Logical perhaps but folks dont generally enjoy unwrapping logic.

True, I’ve never been very good with that part.

Just one test that flexes and the winds will change direction again.
Unfortunately the only way for most people to assess risk, I think.

Wait so it’s not Sell Low Buy High anymore?

Works for me :joy:
Just kidding my trading flaw is an inability to sell, low or high.

I think so. Volume is tiny, so the price will react anything that affects demand.

I know a test that shows stability and progress would improve my perception of project risk just now.

I’m the same, but I’m hoping that is wisdom rather than a flaw

Are my maid safe on bittrex? ive been way out of loop the last few years!

Probably they are, but Bittrex is of course not the safest place to store them

Whats with the message saying that bittrex has gone bankrupt then?
