No, you’re fine if you still see your balance
That only has to do with Bittrex US, Bittrex Global is unaffected. They were not allowed to trade MAID on there anyways for a long time so nobody of community would have had any MAID on Bittrex US.
Ok great kind of had heart in mouth moment then, not that my maid are worth much at all these days, bring on the boom time
I have tried a few times to make a quick few quid but always end up just adding them to my Maid stash ![]()
I found these for MACD and RSI.
Whats a TF and why should I prefer a larger one?
I would say for MAID/BTC use anything above 12H, ideally 2D/3D.
Here is probably the best TA you can get.
There are new tos you will need to sign…
You can not access your coins till you do, so id do that.
I just saw a LinkedIn post of the Bittrex CEO, mentioning Bittrex Global announced to cease business operations.
Just saw the message confirmed on Bittrex Global News: https://bittrexglobal.com/
Wondering what contact @JimCollinson had with Bittrex regarding the USDC pair and what’s the plan now. MAID will be untradable from December 4th (2 weeks from now).
Edit: Some additional information. Bittrex mentions that you should no longer deposit. Additionally, there is no withdrawal deadline, but they urge everyone to withdraw asap as liquidators may set a deadline in the near future.
Shame for Bittrex. It’s been a long road for them.
It’ll be much harder to buy MAID now. HitBTC will be the only option other than OTC I guess?
Thankful that we’ve transitioned to EMAID, and a special shout-out to dedicated members like Sotros, Bamboogarden, DeuxNexus, and others for introducing the EMAID option and increasing the available EMAID coin supply.
The positive aspect is that with MAID becoming untradeable, the tradable supply will drastically decrease to just over 7 million for the time being. All MAID is now locked up until we go live, paving the way for a potential and well-deserved price explosion.
We all owe a massive vote of thanks to @Sotros25 @SwissPrivateBanker @BambooGarden and all concerned with digging the eMAID escape tunnel.
Thank you thank you thankyou…
HitBTC is Linked to Bittrex, I can only assume to liquidity there will completely dry.
Personally I feel heartbroken that Bittrex is exiting the market. However, I do feel this can be a massive positive for trading MAID/EMAID. I hope the Maidsafe team will now, finally, fully support a full migration from MAID to eMAID. There are no longer heding risks for liquidity providers in Uniswap and we may finally fully migrate to a DEX and centralize volume and liquidity. This will open the market to everyone (US included).
Little hurt here, but o well, you’re right. Big credits to all making that possible.
Required reading for many of us now -the MAID to eMAID how-to
What do you mean by this? What could they do?
Migration is entirely in the hands of holders so I don’t understand your comment.
When we first started the whole ERC20/EMAID project, the initiators vouched to stop supporting MAID (as a tradable asset, while still allowing to convert to SNT upon network go-live) and fully focus on eMAID adoption. We wanted to swap the tradable asset MAID on Bittrex to EMAID. The Maidsafe team didn’t want to support that back in the days because this would take away trading opportunity for MAID holders. This resulted in low liquidity and volume on both pairs. Now seems like the time to put out a statement that we will no longer try to have MAID as a tradable asset and fully focus on the tradability of EMAID. This will in turn result in more holders to convert their MAID to eMAID and centralize volume and liquidity again (which will help getting listed on more respectable centralized exchanges in the future).
Surely that’s not for MaidSafe to decide but MAID holders, and they can of course migrate if they want to trade.
Regardless, I’m not sure what MaidSafe say at this point will make that much difference. Anyone wanting to trade will have to use eMAID, probably until launch and conversion to SNT.
The MaidSafe team did not get involved in any trading opportunity business. Early days was perhaps different as the world found it’s feet, but no way in the last many years. Regulators across the globe are in confused mode and they are just not getting involved
They have continually stated they cannot be involved in financial manoeuvres at all. It’s not their business, and frankly many involved in such matters live in a reality distortion field.
We can do what we can to help folk, but we cannot be involved in trading of any kind.
