The app handles OMNI based tokens…like USDT as well as BTC, LTC etc.,
Maybe the MAID team might implement as an interim solution for US residents until network is launched and centralized exchange is on board…? It would certainly help those in tight financial situations
I think the advantages of using Exodus are primarily - liquidity, longevity, decentralization and reduced complexity…
Liquidity - You can trade MAID with a number of tokens that have high liquidity…e.g BTC, LTC, USDT, etc. without having to get separate wallets…
Decentralized - For anybody, but US residents in particular, you don’t have to go through the AML/KYC hoops which is the current CEX impediment for US residents.
Reduced complexity - The app is both a multi currency wallet and exchange. You have exclusive control of your account so it’s secure…
Longevity - it’s been around for a few (7) years now like MAIDSAFE and so it is well known. I think eMAID is commendable but it doesn’t have enough liquidity and requires MAID holders
to have to engage in understanding the ETH blockchain gas price (GWEI) and sometimes spike in fees when there’s network congestion, etc Those fees can be pretty high when trading ERC20 tokens
So I think EXODUS would be a faster solution in the interim so both long term holders and new buyers could find each other easily and quickly and allow for a bona fide price rise as
the SAFE network inches towards launch.
Anyway it’s just a suggestion for when financial urgency arises…
All good points, lots of ppl have recommended various platforms though, unfortunately they cant all be accomodated or the code base will never get finished.
For now we have what we have, once were done coding more exchanges should add us without us needing to ask.
I believe that there is also the possibility (don’t recall exactly how ATM) to strip ownership of the DBC and then transfer it offline. So in that instance, it’s first come first served so to speak - the first one to make themselves the owner of it, get’s it. So if trading with trusted parties this is maybe okay - it’s like the old-fashioned bearer bond (which I don’t think exist anymore).
Searching for eMaid gives no result. Mind you, I’m not sure it appeared in a search anyway.
The good news is that Ledger is still showing a balance so information is coming from somewhere and there isn’t anything unusual showing on Etherscan:-
Site isn’t loading for me either but my python queries are still working. I can see the pair on 1inch dex. So maybe uniswap front end is having issues.
