So long as you stay logged in. So Locked screen is also ok, just don’t log out or switch off.

What if I switch off?

However, if you do switch off your nodes will not automatically restart when you log in again. That’s my understanding with node-manager from recent discussions so I assume same with launchpad.

I assume you will need to start the launchpad and restart them every time you log in. @JimCollinson can you confirm?

If I’m correct this will catch a lot of people out.

At the moment the launchpad only supports your primary storage. We have a feature coming dow the line to allow a change, but not today.

The CLI node-manager tool can so this though.

Can anyone help these Pi oneers get that set up today?

Does anyone have an idea on how much ram a single node will approximately consume? I have enough storage space and 32gb ram

approx 50-60 normally but at times a node may rise to 100Mb approx, especially when starting

Just start small and add a few each day until you think it’s not working well, either your general use, or if nodes start to struggle. I suggest 5 to start then add a couple per day aiming for 10-20 but I can’t really say.

vdash can help you monitor that, but start it early and get used to what normal looks like before adding too many nodes

As @happybeing says. Your router can become the clogging element due to its NAT table not being large enough for too many nodes

Your internet will start having issues like sluggishness or pages not loading properly, or gaming losing packets. Sometimes this shows up after hours to a day.

Start small and add to that

ok good to know, thank u

New Node Launchpad v0.3.7 has just dropped.

It includes a much easier reset process, which I’ve updated in the OP.

I’d encourage everyone to download and update. Particularly Windows user that encountered issues earlier. (cc @Mendrit, @Erik_Hedin, @Profess)

Any chance the launcher can be added to safeup in the near future. I realise its yet another thing to do, just asking

btw link u provide there is still node-launchpad-0.3.6-x86_64-pc-windows-msvc.zip not 0.3.7

You can just download and run it.

It will see all your nodes already.

Can you hard refresh that page? Should have updated.

Hi @JimCollinson, FYI, the SSD currently is my primary storage. It boots from it.

I will go down the CLI road though, should be no problem

It’s not working for me again  I download, extract, run as administrator and then, for a milisecond, some window opens, then it closes and that’s it. Nothing else. On my VPS machine, it works fine, on Linux, it works fine. But on my home laptop with Windows 11, I can’t get it running…

What’s your system details so we can take a look?

You on the latest launchpad 0.3.7?

I think it has to be run in powershell
