Have reached a stopping point with my BASH static website generator. If you want to learn more or try it out - check out the topic I made for it:
Excellent thread on how state and commercial surveillance depend on each other:
The beginning of a financial war between the banking interests and the crypto community.
Safe Network is going to be front and center here after launch as it’s perhaps the most fungible, as well as fast & free.
I think we can expect that DeFi is going to be Safe’s only future trading option in western nations.
Interesting and rather dirty tactics at play though on both sides.
Meanwhile, on the more crypto-anarchist side of the industry that we’ve all grown to love (and hate), there have been some ingenious responses to the Treasury’s sanctions.
Take, for example, the serial dusting of small amounts of Tornado’d ETH to tons of high-profile celebrities.
As it stands, Jimmy Fallon might have technically broken sanctions laws simply because someone sent him this tainted ETH. No one can block these transactions either; they are truly unstoppable.
And thanks to the Treasury’s actions, the world may soon learn how powerful that can be—sanctions be damned.
Indeed … how much in terms of $$ damages would Bush & Cheney, as well as so many others in the corporate media have to pay? Trillions.
But we don’t live in a just world, we live under mafia rule and those who speak out against the sitting “Don”, get dropped into the deep shaft of oblivion.
Whataboutism is alive and well.
Unfortunately whataboutism is alive and well. In a sane world every law would apply to each person equally no matter their position in society or who they are related to.
Interesting attempt at examining personal bias reflected in your news reading.
How is this whataboutism? Are you sure you understand what that even means? I think the nuance has escaped you here. What I posted isn’t in any way a defense of Jones’ trial outcome - in fact it’s only expressing that others should receive the same treatment by the laws of the land and hence pointing out the hypocrisy and bias of the corporate media and the State (the oligarchy).
The only argument I’ve made regarding Jones is that he should be free to speak. I’ve not complained that he paid a price for his speech (by the courts) - I’ve only argued that he should be allowed to be heard and not gagged by censors.
“Goebbels was in favor of free speech for views he liked. So was Stalin. If you’re really in favor of free speech, then you’re in favor of freedom of speech for precisely the views you despise. Otherwise, you’re not in favor of free speech.” ― Noam Chomsky
As I understand the term it is trying to win an argument by dredging up the past. Could be wrong.
Or deflect from an obviously losing debating position by dragging up unrelated previous alleged misdeeds or wrongthink by your opponent.
FWIW, I’d have Bush Cheney, Blair and the rest arrested for war crimes and Alex Jones sectioned for mental health issues.
As for Biden and his criminal son as well as Pelosi and her corrupt boy, they deserve to be in the dock also.
BTW Trump was, is, and will always remain an arsehole, so all you Republicans can go and pleasure yourselves. I am utterley non-partisan, if its a Yank politico or any of their hangers-on, its a criminal.
They probably insured it for more than it was worth so I wouldn’t get to excited. You know how these folks operate.
So the insurance mob lost money - and MrRichKid will pay an awful lot more to insure the next one. Whats not to like?
