Banning things is not difficult. They have banned believing in fairies, particular gods, the earth earth being round, and liking people of a particular sex before. The only thing you have to have “control” over is enough weapons. The question is whether it is productive or makes any sense, which I don’t believe any of the above bans do.
Looks like we will just have to agree to disagree. They don’t have enough weapons to enforce such a ban and they never will.
All I’m saying is that you don’t have to have control over the object of your ban, be it mathematics, emotions or imaginary beings. Heck, in the US they’ve even banned dildos. Witches never existed, so I don’t think saying they effectively “enforced” the ban is correct. But they sure made a lot of people suffer in the process.
I didnt know we are on iancoleman.
That site belongs to one of our most experience forum member, anyway I guess the tools are out of date.

Oh wow! I already saw @mav as a great person, but now my admiration grew even bigger! We are here all in a good hands guys.
Playful and important thread suggesting that Facebook and Google are in for some serious anti-trust treatment.
Only problem, this will take years if it happens. Good to read though: https://twitter.com/jason_kint/status/1371636433291726851?s=20

Deep thinker and in general a good fella, like many/most here.
Guilty until proven innocent. If you do nothing wrong, you have nothing to fear, etc. Scary stuff!
Do they understand what blockchain is… or are they doing on a government level what uninformed people in many companies are doing? Choosing a word… and adding blockchain on it - then getting bonus for using fancy words?
They want control… but they want the benefit of a blockchain… or do they?
- They won’t use an existing blockchain backed by many nodes as they won’t be able to change data.
- If they do create their own blockchain, so few people will care on mine it… they may as well call it a database.
They are sprinkling the word blockchain in there to look cool… what they mean is a registration database of all users of the internet Europe.

Wish we could get Sputnik here instead of the dodgy OXFORD Astra Zeneca.
Anybody else noticed that the minute there was any concern over the AZ vaccine it instantly went from being proudly touted as OXFORD Astra Zeneca and suddenly just became Astra Zeneca? Not quite so many Union Jacks (aka the Butchers Apron) wrapped round it on the telly now, is there?
NEVER trust a word from the BBC state-controlled media.
The Russian vaccine platform is 50 or 60 years old. Much better tested and refined than these new approaches.
CEO indicted for selling encrypted phones:
No, not out of date. The safe network attack cost benefit tool is still useful because coins are held in a section wallet, same as when the tool was created. If (when) that changes then the tool will be out of date and I’ll put a notice on it, like with the blocksize calculator which has been out of date since 2017.
