What’s up today? (Part 1)

You may stumble across users having one or two open if you were tuning in:

Also mentions his other research, an ad hoc remedy:

The “Next Hop” is unknown. Encrypt everything.

QPEP is an encrypted performance enhancing proxy designed to protect high-latency satellite connections without TCP performance degradation. QPEP leverages a QUIC-tunnel to encapsulate TCP traffic over the satellite hop and de-encapsulate it on an internet connected server.

Does this affect the safe network?

SAFE doesn’t use those protocols so no. A feature of its design is to make censoring the protocol very hard, so no guarantees but we should be fine.

Also a matter if who signs up for what censor. Otherwise it’s just one group imposing their will on others. If there’s one rule of social interaction, it is to not impose stupidity.

There are good reasons to what censorship but it has to be a two way street.

Firefox is the only browser I trust for having NoScript as an addon that controls what is done… all others seem to consider the user is fodder for profit.

I was just reading about this yesterday.
Code pulled together in 10 days with no proper code audit.
I remember thinking, hope ppl dont get burnt.

The sad thing is that if they lose their money, they will not be able to buy Safecoin. Otherwise, let them move them back and forth, they will just buy less Safecoin one day

Having not heard about YAMs and DeFi today I keep stumbling on them… still no idea what they are but just evidences how easy it is to get out of touch with cryptospace.

Here’s another new word for you friend - CeFi. Most decentralized finances have admin keys and are actually Centralized Finance. YAM is a bad copy of HEX. Here is what Ivan said yesterday about it:

DeFi Space Has Been HEX’ified- 26:53

According to the article I read yesterday ( unfortunately I can’t find it ) yam code was pulled from a few projects.

So to say it is a copy is not really correct to my mind.

I don’t say it, Ivan says it. But he’s right. Hex gives you Hex. Yams gives you Yams. The concept is the same. The code is bad and there are no audits unlike Hex and people have lost their money… so yes, it seems you are right too friend, not a real copy…
