Nanos dissapearing from node manager. Either vdash tells one numbers and manager others. Very hard to monitor.

Firstly vdash gets its info from the logs and its known that vdash reports more nanos than what is actually there.

Now the nanos are sent into the central tally place so safenode-manager will be showing zero. There is a bug it seems that even if you don’t give a discord ID it still shows zero nanos (presume it is still sending in the nanos to the “tally room”

If I have nodes running using the launchpad will they show in vdash? If I start nodes using @aatonnomicc script will they show in the launchpad? If the nodes don’t get started using the launchpad will they count towards the rewards?

Can’t test the launchpad atm, but got 60 nodes run with safenode-manager and --owner flag
discord = stout_77

I posted in the wrong thread…

Hyper inflation gets worse - tried again with just the one track

"/home/willie/Music/New Order/New Order - Chemical.mp3" will be made public and linkable
Splitting and uploading "/home/willie/Music/New Order/New Order - Chemical.mp3" into 21 chunks
Error:
0: Not enough balance in wallet to pay for chunk. We have NanoTokens(0) but need NanoTokens(53138189597306413) to pay for the chunk

vdash uses the logfiles you tell it to monitor, so it works with anything, but the logs are in a different place than normal.

For example on Linux, (replace <USER> with your username):

Strange…

Not sure who’d charge that much… My nodes are all far from full and rather cheap in price

Is everyone running the richt version of the nodes? The price curve has been adapted lately if I’m not mistaken

Just been informed that for the rest of the day I will be mostly working on infrastructure and cleaning up that effing mess in the hall “My sister is coming on Tuesday and I dont want her tripping over cables” Bye for now…

As long as you give the correct directories for the log files. Maybe they are default ones anyhow

They are starting to show in vdash. Does the node launcher have some delay between launching each node?

yes it does have a delay, I’ll need to confirm but I think I saw 10 seconds.

Yes - perhaps it should be increased a little for serenity and harmony on the network.

Def away now - Mrs Southside is impinging on my serenity again

I’d say longer I started 50 about 20 minutes ago only on no 10 now

Under Windows I had no problem with the instructions, but under Ubuntu 22.04 I get the following error, where am I going wrong?

So I’ve had a go with the node launchpad, and it confused me…

Running on Ubuntu 22.04, X86

The [O] Set resources, when I use it looks at my “/” drive which has only 8GB free, I’ve been using a mount point of /var/safenode which has all the free space on it.

  1. While most next, next, next installs of Linux will have everything under “/”, lots of people will have external USB hdd’s like Rpi’s for example, which could be mounted under /mnt/ or somewhere else. Might need some options to deal with mount points, or let people select which directory they want to use for top level for the nodes.
  2. Didn’t realise that the amount of storage you allocate, defines how many nodes you start  spent many attempts mashing ctl-g, until modified storage to 20g and then it started 4 nodes - maybe an error message on ctl-g along the lines of, we can’t start any more nodes as you don’t have enough free disk space.

Seem to have some connections, will wait for the nanos to start pouring in

I seem to remember having the same problem. You can download it from here, unzip and copy safeup to ~/.local/bin

I thought about being a meanie @scottefc86 but if you started your nodes with my script it was hard wired to send rewards to my discord username while I was testing last night.

it now has an option for you to set your discord username stop the nodes and start them again and you can set your own username.

I’ll give it a try thanks, another question arises is this even necessary because I’ve run the Node Launchpad without it and it shows me the node is running?
