Actually before any software roll out I would expect an announcement that says on such and such date we will have this available, and we want people to do this and that, etc. Which I think they have done in the past.
So based on that it would be safe to assume that it would not be today.
@Ross will post a holding post soon. We will delay the update this week for 2 days as we have some way too last minute merges here. No full MVP for Thursday but there will be good news, we hope and then much more to follow shortly after that. Very frantic rushing from hangout to hangout so we need to stop and breath for a minute.
So short message soon, update in 2 days, just hold tight folks, hold … hold … hold …
Seriously sorry about the last minute delay, but it’s best we do, otherwise you get something shoved at you that is not polished enough, even for testing.
“MAID is like one of those progress bars on your computer when installing, that pushes back how many minutes it takes to finish. But it always completes.”
The life of programmer. You just can’t make promises on release dates. The best promises programmer can make is to announce “valve time.” We need get rid of idea of “time”, and view the number of bug/feature implementation.
But come on. It’s all pretty exciting. And fun to watch the developments, regardless. It’s obvious the devs are working hard. Happy to be along for the ride
I’m sure it is this Thursday we have a Safe meetup in London that it is said David will be joining by video conf, I wonder if an update will come before, during or after.
