Unfortunately people wanting to sell and have a new account is no indication of anything because I can imagine that people start a new account to sell. Escrow solves that in that there is no risk to the buyer except transfer fee to escrow. And of course any wasted time of the one doing the escrow

I have some MaidSafeCoin from many years ago that I would now like to sell. They are stored online in OmniWallet to which I have full access. Are there any guides on moving them to an exchange and selling them?

Google is saying that the current price is $0.50 but Iām guessing youād like a 10% discount so how about $800 with a preference in receiving payment in ETH but BTC or stables will be fine. Do you have a buy price in mind?

As for escrow, most people (probably ALL of them TBH) trust @Dimitar as a reliable escrow agent.
Just make sure he has washed his hands , he has lots of nappies to change these days

Where are you based?
Do you really think the USA would seek the extradition of someone over an OTC trade of $800 of MAID by someone who said they werenāt from the USA but it turned out they were?
The FBI shouldnāt stop people in other countries who legally can from doing something that should be legal between any consenting adults

No, Iām just taking the opportunity to introduce this new issue to the community. Although, $800 in MAID today could be a million tomorrow and thereās no telling how a three-letter agency will choose to interpret it after 5 yearsā¦

But if you somehow get into trouble with US this kind of thing might get incorporated into the case against you. Like if a person is applying for visa to USA, there are some unclarity, etc.

Even worse, the US government goes after people who write open source software, and I have no doubt that they would take every opportunity to go after prominent Autonomi supporters too, when sharing information on the network threatens someoneās interests:

IIRC that software was to shuffle the btc between a lot of accounts to hide how when and where the btc went. Basically along the lines of money laundering which has been illegal for a long time
So there are some nuances that many reporting places do not mention.
But yes there is real risk because of what the US will do if they want to

Yeah itās really hard to assess the risk.
In the eighties a relative of mine got asked about a prominent political murder a distant relative of him made a couple generations ago. He did get the visa though, but itās was silly that they knew and asked about it. Just to illustrate that peripheral things might matter.

Another example is that a person I know helped an illegal immigrant inside Canada and got jail time for that. She also got a ban to enter USA, even though USA was in no way involved in the case. It was either life time ban or many years. Includes transit traffic as well.
