Without a decent runway, 1 exchange and no product (which while I think will be delivered) I highly doubt will be the first to market because this is just not how they work, it doesn’t feel as optimistic as it did a few months ago, it feels like the walls are starting to close in a bit and the only way to save it is to deliver and deliver something almost immediately (3 months)

Is HitBTC not working? They usually have 10x volume then Poloniex and dictates +80% of the MAID price. Tell me seriously why it aint working.
Hitbtc is a scam exchange and their numbers are fake.

They did not quit all omni, they will still have tether, an omni asset. So still need omni support.

That’s what I think to. If they want to sell it they will have to sell it OTC at a substantial discount. I would prolly buy some of that if so.
Migrating to the TRX DEX might be a viable way to keep a market “on polo” since they endorse it and provide a UI. I would get right back in the game if we could migrate to a DEX actually. Only thing is when it was suggested before the answer was no from people on the dev team.
Please move your funds to Bittrex so we have some liquidity on better and reputable exchange than Poloniex is now.

Disagree with the 1 exchange being a big problem. The problem is we have no market demand because of no product for years. Hopefully this changes in the next year or otherwise I would likely become as pessimistic as many in this thread are.

I have bought MAID in Hitbtc in the past with no problem
So you think they would treat B2B customers bad. Both coingecko and coinmarketcap shows HitBTC dominating volume and I know coingecko measures real/fake volume.
That they still use Tether and then retain capability for use of Omni, would make reversing this error easier for Poloniex … perhaps was just a lazy judgement on the back of a quiet market. Feedback to support now, in case that can make them reconsider.
Still odd they are also delisting Omni too… I don’t see why having small markets would cost them.
Reasons to have distributed solutions… this is just an example of the liability that is third party errors.

I think it’s a major problem because we have to remember that this was once at $1.20 or so with far less accomplished and all of that was because of the bitcoin rise. If we happen to see another bitcoin rise in the near future because of a cycle, halving or otherwise we will not even see artificial price movement if there is only one place to buy it and we of course will certainly see nothing with no new bitcoin and continued lack of delivery.

Price has little to do with the state of projects.
Those focused on price of crypto typically are missing the point…
Price is a mix more of the relative footprint and the timing of entering the market. The evidence of that, is how the prices across so many cryptos are strongly bound to BTC… price matters only when decoupled from BTC and those occasions are rare.
Talking down progress is a bit off… we’ve seen so much progress this year.
Two last points for tonight:
The OTC trade price can be easilly higher than spot.
and HitBTC does have a bad rap… though Poloniex has fouled up and there is evidently space for bigger and better exchanges going forward.

In a previous post I mentioned how much progress has been made especially since the BTC mania price. Progress can still be made without delivery which is exactly where we are. I’m not criticizing necessarily but wonderful weekly reports without something for users to have can only go so far. That is neither optimistic or pessimistic but just reality.

Pretty shitty timing from poloniex, just as people are winding down for Christmas.
Project is still same team with same goal. The value is unchanged. There just needs to be a better way to trade the coin.
