You have to keep checking SimpleSwap and Changelly. MAID’s status on both those exchanges is fluid. Right now, Changelly is not accepting buy, sell or exchange orders for MAID but on SimpleSwap you get 12,407 MAID for .1 BTC (about $0.40, a little on the high side).

Interesting perspective. I know this goes without saying, but you are, of course, entitled to your opinion. I started buying MAID in 2017 and have continued to do so primarily because of David, and also the rest of the development team and the community here. I like the technology, but I also approve of the decision making David has shown during various rough patches and the open and transparent reasoning he provided. This is a unique project in that you get to know the “why” surrounding decisions. Having good leadership is the #1 thing that will make a project successful. I can agree, disagree, express my disagreement as I see fit, or contribute as I want/can. Not sure where the hostility is coming from. I certainly wouldn’t invest in a project run by someone I thought was “completely untrustworthy.”

I have already invested. My attitude towards David evolved. It started with “this fella is an original thinker”. I went through “it must be a whole lot of pressure to deal with, so cut him some slack” phase, and it was a long one. Then one day it occurred to me he must be proper shitfaced most of the time because of how deranged his writing often seems. Now, I think he’s a manipulative pos. Genuine about the project, possibly for all the wrong, narcissistic reasons, and dishonest with maid holders.
Which is something altogether different than thinking “this project sucks”. I’m also not wasting any more time replying to these idiotic posts crying for reassurance surely there must be something wrong with me because I’m honest.
Just wait for this year, if nothing coming, we can all leave than

OK - given this framing I can see where you are coming from. I don’t happen to agree, but that’s fine. We should know this year. I personally think a lot of good things will be coming out. At the detail level it seems like a lot of work is being accomplished.
When I started with this project in 2017 I set a time frame of 5 to 8 years. If no progress in 5 I would bail (and I think there’s been a lot of progress and I expect key deliverables this year). And I expected it would take 8 to full launch (2025). So in the mean time I try not to stress about the day to day milestones.

In my opinion, making an on the fly decision to hold a public testnet release to add features required for network release while at the same time saving resources/schedule is the only sane thing to do from a long-term perspective.
I will support as long as progress continues. In the past David has admitted mistakes/distractions and said that the focus is 100% on getting the network out as soon as possible. As a guiding vision I can’t see anything wrong with that and I support it fully. If decisions start to get made significantly contrary to this stated plan I would start to get concerned.

Guys, your way off the mark here. There are no excuses and never should be. We have have mistakes, errors and most importantly hard issues to solve and solve them we have. Excuses would be the antithesis of being open.
You need to ask yourself the hard questions, here are some
- Is This guaranteed to work - no
- Is this guaranteed to take off, get user traction - no
What you do get and have had is the guarantee that we as a team and myself, in particular, will see the end of this road to launch and that is what we are doing.
It’s difficult to work hard and know you are working hard for so many good people, but some, a tiny minority harbour such anger, resentment and frankly cowardly attitudes. However, as life works we are working hard for them to and if successful they will reap the rewards of our labour.
We are blessed there are so many decent people and supporters around, the negativity and made-up nonsense is deafened out by the good that is around. Attitudes like the obvious troll and weak-minded person above (@Johnny_Ou ) is laughable and if they think they can stop us trying then they are incorrect.
I know some will always want to spend their time demolishing and destroying and it seems it is just life, but don’t bother trying to justify that @Johnny_Ou or @Lackys just say it loud and proud, you wish to cause offence harm and destruction. You know you are not helping anyone, especially yourself carrying on like a child needing cuddles.
Anyway there is no help we can give to you and your hell-bent on some kind of drama, this is not the best place for you at all.
