Is that to say there is a design with prototype code for in-place network upgrades or am I reading too far into this?

We already have partial upgrades. With CRDT data types thatâs much simpler now, some issue over how to upgrade Elders but we have some options there too (basically Elders should keep the secret key shares and give them to each other again on restart etc.). So some smallish upgrade issues to sort, but stable testnet first. This next one if itâs this week (doubtful) will not be stable, too many niggles right now, but hey, we gotta keep pushin.

Hahaha and I bet there will be a even sillier bug found within the first day of it going public. Wouldnât be a complex system without at least one in the public testnet.
Had a boss once (for years) walk down the hallway to the computer room say âFound the last bugâ many times per week.

Cant see how we would have much less than a 2 billion market cap with a working testnet thats proven after a week or two, definitely worth waiting for

I brought up a thought in my other post that other factors seem more important to me than the test-net, i.e. purely graph/market based, simply because there is much crypto trading/increase going on lately in general, which keep pushing the price up ever so gradually.
My thinking was: âGiven that this test-net is always a âsoonâ thing (but I agree it will be here in another week or so, given todayâs update shifting some priorities), itâs still a factor not worth analyzing, even if it coincidentally magically appears in a few days from now.â
But that post got 0 Likes. Thus, that says that everyone is anticipating it, and it actually is a factor.
I still(?) think itâll require more testing after that. But maybe, since itâll be the first real test net like basically ever â i.e. all the real working parts are more in place, more than PARSEC and even other old foundational attempts ever were, with confirmation earlier by David Irvine that thereâs not much else to be implemented/added to see his finalized original vision â a sheer inevitability of successes for each subsequent test-net is on the horizon.
And, as per the latest update, the duration for iterating each new updated test network extremely quickly will help with that.

Someone who has 30k maids who had bought when i spoke to him 3 years ago came to see me intending to sell his coins. He has doubled his money. Sounds great but then i told him a network is close. He decides to hold his coins. I might get a text of him thanking me in coming months or i might need to avoid his calls

I know someone I introduced to maidsafe during this lockdown, they doubled their money - and now sodl and are piling it in to bitcoin. âŚthe only person so far to jump ship⌠but I can see they are interested in the cash gains.
One other person I introduced to crypto, sold their bitcoin⌠but are keeping their maids.
Variety of people out there⌠but the person keeping their maids really really likes this project.
