I think I read that Kamala Harris walked it back after considerable backlash, but it is something they are serious about and I expect it will return in the future.
I don’t see unrealized capital gains ever be taxed in the US. Are we also going to allow tax breaks for the unrealized capital losses? This will surely result in many company’s and high net worth individuals leaving, as well as a fair amount of upper middle class. I don’t see it reaching the support to pass. The other thing to note, is the people who would be voting on that bill would be hurt by it, it’s against their best financial interest. I certainly would be assessing other citizenship options as I likely would not be able to cover my taxes.

I concur. It would mean the end of the stock exchanges as we know them. It would also mean a lot of political donations would dry up. Not gonna happen.
And the Harris tax proposal is only for those with a net worth above $100 million. And it is likely just lip service to appease the progressive wing. I think there is an election coming up, no? It will never happen. The system in the US is ultimately designed to protect capital, for good or bad.

That looks like someone slowly selling so as to not drop the price too much then either they buy back or someone else is taking advantage.
When buying back this works as long as most of the offers are at the low end and a few at the high end. And when people/bots see the sharp rise they join in driving the price even higher than the one accumulating

Not financial advice but I’m still fairly certain that we’re at the low. Chart shows strong demand around this level (VWAP for a reason).
I’d say we’re very close to a pop to the upside. $0.43 first to test.

Price situation pretty is dire at the moment! What do people think will happen with the price after the soft launch of the network this week? Any movement, or will be see nothing until marketing/partner announcements?

Probably nothing will happen. Price movement will happen once there are buyers. Until that point the price will tank, and tank, and tank…

More people needs to know about the network, marketing is needed to bring more eyes to the network and more demand for buying.
There might be other factors also, the price jumped when Beta started. But it is hard in crypto to know what is real, are there bots manipulating the price, does the exchange front run and wash trade?Needs a lot of natural demand from people so that effects of possible manipulative actions becomes less. Might be shaky until the network proves success. Hoping for positive movement q1 2025, with more marketing bringing more people in.

I guess it depends on what is shown and announced.
The beta has been good for development & testing, but not good in terms of building belief in the community that would drive more buying / holding, as there’s not really been much to see that would create excitement (apps, wallets etc).
When there’s a GUI and a few interesting apps to go with the network, and marketing kicks in, I don’t think it’ll take much demand to start pushing the price up due to the low liquidity… but I doubt those things will be in place for a while after the ‘launch’ at the end of October.
Looking forward to seeing whatever is announced in the coming weeks. Hopefully we’ll be pleasantly surprised!

The price jump in June was a after Bux went to that coindesk thingie. It was a single buyer pushing the price up.

When the project goes live and shows stability I think the Bux and Gill will do an exceptional campaign. I still remember what Bux said at her very first meeting with the community. “ i am a cold blooded marketing animal” can t wait to see how she will promote the project. To me, it make sense that they start campaign very soon. The project is far too cheap atm,
