Buy the rumour, sell the news, as they say. Arguably, the rumour is the beta in general though. The price could climb up to and beyond the release date.
Someone must have wanted mitts on a bunch of coin quickly if they were prepared to move the market to do so. Others may do too.
Itās likely pump and dump, but thatās all part of the market when things begin to move.
I expect wild fluctuations as interest builds and there will be people trading just to take advantage of that.
Fwiw, Iāve been interviewing with a bunch of blockchain related companies recently and not one of them had heard of maidsafe or autonomi, nor the original OG crowd sale.
There has to be a lot of money on the side lines ready to enter. Once word gets out and we close in on launch, this tech will be a huge deal for them and web3 in general.

Remember back, think it was 2018, MAID was like $1.2. eMAID/MAID can easily go $3-4 late Beta and $10-20 around/after launch. 1 year from launch and it can be $40 and above, sky is the limit.

I see your point but the cat is both dead and alive at the same time. Itās just undetermined which until the box is open. Wheras Autonomi is very definitely alive, itās the world at large hasnāt realised it yet!
I could totally see the network token overtaking Bitcoin within a few years, but Iād be surprised if the Network Token reached Bitcoinās current market cap within 12 months, which is what would be required to reach $1000ā¦ but, never say never 
For a whole coin yeaā¦ people will be wanting to upload data and take part in services. As the number of users grows theyāll be buying fractions of the coin for $5, and the network will adjust the amount of resources you can buy for a token.
