Hmmm, you need to likely create an automated bot, manual arbs are very hard to time and execute on. In general, be prepared to sink in a lot of time and effort to create something that is automated (months and years likely).
For instance, below is a small snippet off a very complex dashboard I built for 3 to Nth leg arbs along with all the backend software & hardware components (currently filtering on 3 & 4 legs only in past 30 days):
Note: Above is a What If Scenario dashboard with real time ticker data being analyzed (order placement turned off). It only shows you the potential of all the opportunity signals detected and filtered on.
This is not my primary bread and butter, nor my daytime job. I won’t go into any further details regarding the dashboard, and the implementation behind all this, but I do believe there is plenty of entropy… in the market if you are fast enough to detect it and capture it.
Lol… I have no idea on the bond market margins… but at least this doesn’t require a huge investment up front as principal (nothing close to the 98M+205M + (other legs) = 300M+ potential volume generated a month), since the money parked per coin can be rotated at a very high frequency per arb opportunity.
In bonds I need to make 20c (0.2%) for a trade to make sense - as there are many mouths to feed. The first 5-10c go on broker fees, clearing and custody.
I see, good to know. Yeah, crypto, from what I can tell seems to be very cut-throat for at least a multi-leg ‘arb’ in the current landscape (inter and intra exchange etc). The above potential $ earnings were after accounting for the exchange fees had the orders been placed and executed.
Offcourse, everyone’s strategy and implementation differs, so what may look like a lot of potential $ earnings to someone might be way different from someone on the other side, with a different code and design implementation receiving the same ticker data in real time, . It is what it is, lol.
I think that would be probable some time after launch and some adoption, but would be pleasantly surprised if it reached that at Beta launch… but I guess it’s posisble if there’s a bit of hype around it and it looks really good technically.
Though, because at Beta launch, the max supply would still be the supply of MAID / eMAID, so that’s only 50% of supply at launch, and 10% of the eventual max supply… that could mean the the price is pushed higher given any hype.
Achieving Filecoin’s Market Cap at beta stage would yield about $3.5 with the current supply. Perhaps not likely, but not impossible.
Just a wee (terminology) reminder, so it’s clear when SNTs will be created:
We are currently in late stage Alpha (what we prviously wrapped up as Fleming/Maxwell until the testnets got to rapid for that to keep up).
A Public Beta is just around the corner, and from there we get our Launch Candidate ready for the… Main Network Launch.
This is when the genesis event will happen, and SNTs will be created.
All networks before that will be using test tokens. And while data has the potental to persist from a beta to the main network, tokens with real value (and swappable with MaidSafeCoin) will only come in to being at that genesis event.
Focus on the core for Beta makes sense in terms of focus and team bandwidth.
I expect it won’t be that difficult to add the browser and GUI once the core is solid, but I can imagine that juggling all of those things together ahead of a solid core may be counterproductive.
Looking forward to hearing more about plans in due course.
