Both prices passed the 20 cent mark, psychology at work.

That seems a realistic scenario for potential price. Adoption is always the issue and while what the Safe Network will offer is a comprehensive decentralised alternative to the existing internet, since its original launch and especially this past year, other peer-to-peer decentralised projects have launched that target specific use cases - Nostr is just one example.

Hope someone enjoyed my 4000 MAID dump to 18.5 cents. Distribute that wealth!
(Hopefully to someone who doesn’t have a lot already.)

I sent this message to coingecko:

“Maid and emaid are the representation of the same coin under different Blockchains: maid for Omni (Bitcoin) and emaid for Ethereum. The exchange is only possible from Omni to eth, so the supply will always be the same as the Genesis for maid in Omni, which is 452,552,412 (so around 0,452 American billions). You can find the source for it here: Updated: RFC 0061 — Safe Network Token Distribution which is linked from the whitepaper: https://primer.safenetwork.org/ Maid and emaid are only a temporary token till the safe network is released. At that time, each maid/emaid will be exchanged 1:1 for the coin, called sent, whose supply will be 4,294,967,296 (2^32 or around almost 4.3 American billions, as expected equal or greater than maid/emaid supply). Last but not least, whenever a token is sent from Omni to eth, the one in Omni gets burnt. There’s no transformation possible from eth to Omni. Long story short: please fix emaid supply to be changed to 452,552,412 (0.452 American billions), you’re only accounting for tokens in the eth chain (emaid) and omitting maid in Omni chain (which are most of them). Hope the explanation was clear enough otherwise please let me know.”

their answer:

"Thanks for reaching out.

Please inform the project team to reach out to us directly regarding this issue."

So, has anyone done so? If the answer is yes, I’ll tell them so, otherwise, maybe worth doing.

Excellent job! @JimCollinson or anyone can look into the coingecko situation mentioned above. And also the coinmarketcap situation.

Yes some total idiot f*cked things up but it needs to be sorted out.

Yes we have @AJ_MS on it. Same goes for the CMC ranking situation. But as always with these things they are often not straightforward.

It is good to know someone is on it, eventually it will get fixed. Please update us from time to time how it is proceeding.

Tad harsh, they were trying to be helpfull, but somewhere things got muddled.

Helpful by putting the reputation of Maid in danger? They should have known better and let the team handle it, it was idiocy to do the changes themselves and to do them wrong. It looks like they only wanted to push Emaid for personal gains and not caring about Safe as a whole and the success of the project.

And who are they? At least they could come forward and appologize for the mess they caused.

They admitted it was them in this very thread iirc.
If you dont remember, maybe dont pass judgement.

I misssed that, then who were they? Did they appologize also?

Wow the project needs to finish so I can send money without paying over 6 dollars. Crazy BTC fees suddenly, when not on lightning network, whatever that even is (so out of touch). Did 3 bucks days ago and it went through, now even with 5 something dollars it seems like it’ll take 24 hours or never.

eMAID has been fluctuating between $0.20-0.25 USD for the past month, or so. Clearly the people selling eMAID are at least somewhat aware of the current state of the project, just by having eMAID. That begs the question for me, who is actually selling at these prices, and why?

I reckon arbitrage will account for some of that. Maybe a lot of that.
