Not sure I agree with that - there are some people who are brilliant at explaining things in an entertaining way. My nephew learned to plaster a wall from YouTube and recently finished a house, and if you ever tried learning an instrument or coding before YouTube you’ll know much easier it is now…
But … I agree there is a pretty high ratio of know-nothings who like to see their face on camera (90%?) to the good stuff (10%) and if you’re happy with crap you get fed more crap in return, it’s a self-perpetuating crap machine.

It doesn’t have to be entertaining to be useful. To get lots of followers yes, it needs to be more than just specialist information. So it depends on your goal, but I’ve learned how to do quite a few different kinds of thing from random people who took the time to make a video explainer. I don’t follow anyone and I never log in, or follow suggestions etc. I know others who use it more like TV, so there are different kinds of consumer and producer, different goals etc.

I mean what would be your aims from starting the channel you are hesitant about?

It’s a big if but my goals would be to cover what currently exists, to contemplate what could be enabled by certain projects/tech, what’s lacking, hopefully make people laugh a little and give the space some deserved mocking.
Would probably be “crypto” focused along with other tech that preserves people’s rights.
A big issue for me is time though. For most of us that have full time jobs, families, and homes to take care of, time is a scarce commodity.
So I really cannot make any promises or commitments and don’t want to get hopes up too high but maybe I’ll experiment in my spare time and see if I think I could possibly swing something.
If it did work out y’all know my bias for the best tech out there

Sounds cool but I’m not expecting you to do this, mucho effort as you say. I was wondering what would make it worthwhile for you though, because I see you were hesitating based on concerns about how professional you could make it. Maybe the payoff would just be to learn, or have some fun?

Payoff would hopefully be some revenue to compensate my time while also providing something of value to viewers. Fun is ALWAYS a bonus

Didn’t age well. I see a different pattern emerging though and new prediction is $1.47 around the beginning of November.
