I’ve used them a few times in 2019 with no issues at all. I think one transaction took a while to go through, but it ended up fine. I don’t recall having to put in a ticket. On Polo one out of every three withdrawls I did required a ticket and a day of waiting.

I’m no trading guy, but it does look like someone is controlling trade on Bittrex to stay within a narrow band, or is it trading bots. Some if the time gaps between trades seem weird where the price goes in either direction for no apparent reason
Any comments will be appreciated

Dogecoin just stole dominance, in my book.

I wouldn’t put too much faith in marketing. Bitcoin has arrived at this point in its history without a marketing department. In other words, it has grown organically on its merits and the enthusiasm of its supporters.

The Safe Network is different from bitcoin though. While deciding to buy bitcoin entails a financial risk and its network growth is reflected in the price, it’s important to realise bitcoin is a ā€˜money’ crypto - that is its use case.

The Safe Network will have an easier path to adoption because no money is being risked at the onset. People can simply download the app for free and even start earning tokens. Yes, perhaps data is risked in the early days, but over time the network will become more trusted.

So the fear factor in getting started is removed, making it easier for people to try it for themselves.

If the Safe Network does what is promised and it meets a genuine need in the marketplace, word of mouth and the promotional activities of its users will drive adoption - without the need for any ā€œprofessionalā€ marketing.

Am I the only that thinks the price of Maidsafecoin is nothing more than meaningless speculation and the only price that matters is the price of Safe Network Token on a fully operational network?

Edit: I did not invest in Maidsafecoin I invested in The Safe Network

Most likely bots, very little volume, around 2-3 btc in last 24 hours.

True, but but maid price helps fuel developnent. A weak price means little resources for David and his team.

Yes - for sure, don’t get me wrong, if the product does what is says on the tin and the product is easy to use (simple interface which Jim seems to be nailing down) then the product’s extraordinarily ability will indeed market itself.

Either way - I feel the next 12 - 18 months will be huge. We’ll just need to keep supporting the team and remain patient  :+1:

Pretty crazy DOGE is pumping 4x. It’s like trading bottle caps just because it exists. Hope that kind of money trickle downs to maid eventually!

To be honest I think none of that money will end up in MAID. As much as a like the dog, it’s stupid money that flows in. It will take a long, long time for MAID to attract stupid money, we simply don’t have the hype around us.

I was saying on f/b this morning it’s a shitcoin, funny how when some ppl make money of something and they see it as good, clearly they just want profit with no interest in the tech.

Is this Willy Wallace, or Sun Tzu? :innocent:

On a serious note, I haven’t been on the forum since Tuesday or Wednesday and my goodness the amount of action and excitement these days. I am breathing a sigh of relief and smiling like an eejit here seeing all the developments.

In terms of marketing, if we take the energy of the community and encourage everyone to get involved in whatever they are good at - blogging, videos, leafletting, documentaries, etc etc, so many talented and smart people here. We don’t need to blindly copy the other projects in the space, MaidSafe never has, it’s our strength.

In the words of Conor McGregor in a completely unrelated context: ā€œWe’re not here to take part, we’re here to take overā€.

Whelp, I just removed my sell order on Bittrex, was pretty high up the ladder, the goal was to provide some liquidity after a a week I took it all down, don’t trust Bittrex leaving things on there for too long.

Yes, MAidSafe is a fish of a different colour swimming in the opposite direction. It has its own benchmark, of which others must aspire to, not the other way around. Just keep swimming, the schooling fish will turn and follow.

It appeals to the ā€œbuy it and flip it before I get burntā€ mind
