Compiled maidsafe on OSX, want to join testnet

Please assume I am a bleeding moron. I have maidsafe both compiled and installed on my mac, and now I would like to fiddle around. How should I proceed?

IF you give us till testnet3 - we are fully flat our refactoring some parts at the moment. Small tweaks but very important.
