Beta Rewards Network Launch Wed 12GMT — Here's what you need to do!

i guess i’ll hope the currently not-counted nanos will suddenly appear when they implemented a fix for it :open_mouth:

@qi_ma is there some hope that this issue could be fixed before the coming release (apparently scheduled on Monday 8th) ?

If you are referring to the issue with the keys in the ARM build, it will definitely be fixed. The fix was in this PR yesterday:

I tried the launchpad (v 0.39) today for the first time in a while on my Linux laptop from home and it sat there saying five nodes were running. However, after several hours no records had appeared in the record stores. I then started one manually and it got records instantly. Why would that be?

Been a stellar day for earnings but I am not climbing any ranks so I can only assume everyone is having a good day?

Yes, yesterday I have earned 5x more than the day before.

I want to join in with the ARM “fun” about to set up 3 SBC’s. I think @chriso posted a link in discord to an as yet unreleased ARM binary a few days ago, is that right or have I lost the plot?

0.108.3-alpha.2 is the version you want @Josh

…or you just take the current one and assume it will be fixes retrospectively (which is what i’m doing … since my nodes are running for many days anyway now with it…)

Thank you :raised_hands:

alright I am in the ARM’s race, when chasing regular nanos is no longer fun enough  go for those hard to get nanos!

My name is @Josh and my addiction for nanos has got worse :joy:

I felt bad for the little guys, I bought them for this purpose and just had them laying all forlorn in a corner on the floor. Poor little things.

You know you’ve got problems when you have feelings for your hardware :joy:

Me and all my hardware friends strongly disagree :grinning:

EDIT: That sounds really weird

As long as you don’t have a floppy drive :joy:

Please correct me if I have made any errors here.

By my calculations there are 92 "participants in Wave 1 (position 84) who earned 0 nanos for the week but received 53.064 token rewards each.

92 * 53.064 is 4881 tokens @ $0.58 totaling at current value ~$2831

Granted a few of those are legitimately trying and failing to earn, a real problem.

How many of those are not participating at all? after 12 weeks that is a significant sum of tokens.

Are all those users real? what are the chances many belong to a single person and that person is raking in a bunch of cash for doing nothing?

I propose after next week if you don’t earn there is no reward.
It is such a simple scam if anyone set up a bunch of fake accounts?

Or am I missing a measure in place to prevent that?

In the news it talked about removing people from the wave if they are not active. And that they would not fill that place with someone else because that will cause a whole lot of problems

Does anyone know yet how the new update will play out, in terms of number of nodes. I know the node size will be increased. How many nodes, in the new update, is equivalent to 20 nodes, for example, in the old network?

This has not been officially confirmed, I have asked, twice (here) but no confirmation.

Was there definitive confirmation in Discord?

I wish there was some kind of official liaison between devs and the forum, it gets super frustrating sometimes.

Oh, I thought Neo mentioned nodes would be increased to 30 GB, meaning less nodes, means less peers, means less stress on consumer routers. But perhaps this is just conjecture. We will find out.
