What’s up today? (Part 2)

Apparently it is not expected to land. It is going down with no attempt to land, last I heard.

The launch was pretty impressive though, imagine sitting in that thing at takeoff. :flushed:

Yes a beautiful takeoff.

Even with 5 engines out (6 at RUD) it was able to reach desired height. Tried to release the starship then do boost back burn, except no separation and went into spin

knowing that every single part was made by a contractor bidding to make the best profit for his shareholders…

John Glenn IIRC mused thusly while waiting for lift off in 1962 for USAs first orbital flight

Those who make the law are allowed to dictate who the laws apply to.

Bit like the “rules-based order” pish

The US makes the rules and issues the orders.

Politics is for comedy these days…
I just caught some of the House of Lords debate of the Online Safety Bill.
Some just towing a line thrown by others; some however noting that the bills evolution had created such complexity that the reason for the amendment they are debating today is for an up front statement of what the bill is for.
Baroness Kidron did well, making a point that was in essence a challenge to the whole idea of it… everyone seemingly noting it was a complex bill and all the hallmarks of not being well thought through. The amendment for a clear statement, is a statement that the bill is not a good one.
Those outside politics can see well enough there is a lack of wisdom in it and too many back to front interests … do we need to perpetually remind them that Government is not more important than the people; limiting and stifling innovation at a time of economic downturn, might not be a good idea.
Hopefully it’ll get a kicking and into some long grass and becomes just a topic to focus and help them evolve an understanding rather than ever made into bad law… but I keep hoping for more than the ever deliver… and some interests are keen to limit what is possible for others… imposing their stupidity because they can.
/rant … politics trolls us all
