Thats been the law here since before 2018. You have little rights once you pass the customs out or before passing customs on the way in.
Basically we just adopted USA and UK laws on that. And like the USA & UK usually they take a complete copy of the phone for processing. No need to wonder what they copied, they copied the whole damn lot.
OTH they can do all the cavity searches they want, bag searches etc.

Kinda cool - don’t sell your crypto (so no cap gains tax). Instead use as collateral for a mortgage. When mortgage is repaid, you get crypto back.
Could be a major development in the crypto-sphere if Google is really jumping in.
