What’s up today? (Part 1)

Today, and over the past year…

Now. Do we stay in gold or do we stay in crypto?

Let say we do have a global financial reset.
We’ve seen currency collase before, and paper notes thrown in the streets in many countries.

Does crypto transmit the benefits of holding gold? I guess it does.

This week I also got two AMP links sent to me via Telegram and to see those Google URLs replacing unique domain names made me a bit sad on behalf of the owners of those sites. As a site owner myself, it feels like sovereignty of a website being taken away.

… This is the Googled-web Google wants to see you develop. The web “delivered by Google”. Your site being integrated with all the other cool Google products such as Analytics and AdSense.

Longer human age would an a game changer in many ways; the ability to continue learning and applying long learnt knowledge would push scientific discovery. I would wonder about the psychological and environmental impact, mind.

Just like Pied Piper is inspired by SAFE, the episode Blood Boy in Silicon Valley is inspired by reality.

George Church is trying with gene therapy and that may well take 20 years, but there’s evidence that we may be programmed to age as a way to ensure genetic diversity. Without aging, long lived individuals could get a disproportionate amount of kids with the result that new genes that could potentially help against new threats like a new mutated virus, might not get a foothold in the population causing a species to lose competitive advantage against other species. For humans with modern medicine I don’t think that’s likely to be an issue.

There’s been research that suggests that factors in the blood tell the body which age it should be and basically tells cells to stop repairing damage and instead spew out damaging chemicals.

Several startups are looking into things like transfer of blood plasma from young persons to old persons or identifying pro-aging factors in the blood. Even claims of age reversal in rats.

If this research pans out, it is something much simpler than gene therapy and will take much less time to develop. I guess we’ll know in a couple years if it works or not.

It would be a turning point on both the individual and the collective viewpoints. Our societies would definitely change in terms of organisation and structure. Think about school, work, free-time, family, retirement

While on the individual point it could lead people to concept divinities, death, love, sex, purpose of life and human itself differently

Svelte vs React in your opinion @happybeing?

Amazon ready to cash in on free access to NHS data

Amazon has been handed the keys to a trove of NHS data it can use to develop products to sell internationally without paying a penny to the UK.

Depends! And I’ve really only scratched the surface of both. But if you want it anyway: I find Sveltejs simpler to understand / easier to learn (so far) and very capable. It is new / up and coming - which is a plus for me - but will mean for some there will be more components/solutions/examples in the React community.

Other a bit dated math news, but interesting to see physics lead to a math discovery instead of the other way:

I read the article, I had never heard of it before it was mentioned by you in the other post about marketing.

Like all crypto you never know where it will go.

My initial feelings are that this coin is launched to enrich those already holding mass amounts of btc, despite their claim it is not so.

In fact, the opposite is true. If you have over 1000 bitcoin and claim you get 50% less hex. If you have over 10,000 bitcoin you are cut 75% down.

I really like Richard Heard and have been following him for 3 years. I can say that he inspired me not to wait for the launch of the network to start promoting it en masse. I don’t know if hex will be successful, but for me it has the potential to be a top 10 cryptocurrency…

People will just claim multiple times under different accounts, that limiting is a joke imho.
