Very interesting interview with Michael Saylor CEO of Microstrategy. He has been fighting Apple, Microsoft and turned to Bitcoin. He might be a guy to poke on x.

A little throwback here…

But also… let’s all share to reach the folks that missed this legendary interview first time around!

Perhaps the author needs no introduction, and if you don’t know then google it for hours of fun. He creates a serious of alternative thinking comics related to physical science and computer science

Thomas from the silicon valley show is involved in this. Commodore reborn!

Wouldn’t autonomi nodes on commodore be great?

Am probably going to buy one now.

We have nodes being monitored on an Amega with vdash by @mccnex

I think Autonomi running on Amiga would be very interesting to the Retro Recipes channel.

Maybe after the excitement of purchasing Commodore passes.

We should let them know.

Web 3.0 on retro tech! :exploding_head:

This theory can also apply to networks, (video leads into it) and does apply to electrical circuits too. Braess’s Paradox was actually taught in engineering in the 70’s even though only presented in the 60’s

Interesting look at the math and some history behind predictive search and reputation. I wonder if there are ways this math could be used for autonomi? e.g. looking at pointers or perhaps nodes tracking how often XOR addresses are accessed.

Scale and genetics and IQ.

Socialism is innate in the family unit - we take care of our children. It spreads from there to concern for the neighbors children - as they interact with my children … on into the future. The greater the intellect of a society, the more the average person thinks about making and maintaining social connections and promoting social welfare.

But this has limits, such that as we scale it up, people care less and less for those further afield. This translates into politics even more strongly - because those who want to get involved in politics are generally of a particular few personality types that are often lower IQ and so easily manipulated by other interests - voters being but one - also as this scales, taking this into account, we can see that democracy itself becomes a selfish fight for resources between different voter blocks.

So all up, We need decentralization of power and an end big government. Local socialism is functional - imperfect as all systems are, but functional, scaling it up goes beyond human capacities to comprehend, have compassion for, and to manage.

World-renowned economist Richard Werner on where money comes from: banks just create it out of thin air, and keep a pile for themselves.

I would add to this topic that this guy is WRONG when he says there is a way to use money creation for good – in fact there is no way it is ever good, there is no way it is ever NOT FRAUD. Every bit of new money created by banks takes it’s value from the money in your pocket - but you did not consent to the contract between the borrower and the lender, you did not consent to having value taken out of your wallet. Since there is no contract, it is theft, plain and simple. As it’s surreptitious theft, it is fraud plain and simple. Therefore there is never any valid excuse for bank money creation.

I would also add that he’s wrong about there being a simple solution that won’t hurt the economy. He’s correct that the fix to the debt issue is simple, but it will wreck all the collateralized debt (CDO’s aka mortgage backed securities) … you may think, so what! … well if those CDO’s lose their value, all the pension funds are fracked and there goes all the retirements of vast numbers of people - it would in fact create a major crisis that would only be resovlved politically by the government bailing it all out.

but but but - gubbimints is baaaad…

You know @southside, that taxes not only don’t cover spending, but in fact cannot cover the government spending of the all the major economies. So a huge amount of spending is covered by debt … and in many cases now, governments are near to hitting a wall with issuing bonds … meaning they will have to print the money – which will drive massive inflation and smash the poor.

But go on … keep believing and thinking that governments are a good for society. It’s not working out well and it will end in disaster and misery for all.

This might be interesting to some people. Australia supports the use of VPNs

Mind you there is a little misinformation where they say the government and ISP can see your browsing. If decent VPN then they only know you are using one, not the actual data.

Maybe the UK government should follow AU lead. LOL
