I suppose that David and team also own shares and, even though 18 months is a long wait, they are strongly incentivised to insure the token increases in value during that time. So for those with shares, do not despair.
No
Follow the directions in here. The process was changed a bit ago into sign and burn for both eMAID and OMNI MAID
We were top ten for years. I think people are going to be shocked how quickly we return.
I am curious to know how the loaned MAID will be returned. Guessing it will be as ANT token to the ANT address linked to the OG MAID address through the conversion process.
Perhaps this has been stated somewhere, can I get a confirmation of this?
Thank you! Do you think Ill need some Ether in my wallet to do this process?
Yes you will need gas
I did a 20 eMAID test burn using a Coinbase wallet…what a palaver! I thought I was pretty savvy about the intricacies of the crypto merry-go-round, but this takes the biscuit. Good luck to anyone who’s unfamiliar with this sort of thing. Press the wrong button and your tokens could dissappear into the crypto void. This is going to be a disaster for lot’s of folk, it’s almost as difficult as navigating through this forum.
Oh this sounds fun.
I feel like I remember there was a plan to airdrop emaid holders. I guess that is not the case anymore…
I am really struggling here. Can anybody please help?
I can’t connect to my wallet. I click onn connect to web 3, scan the code with my app, but them nothing happens. Its not connecting to my app.
Can anyone please help?
Or, can we please go back to just airdropping emaid holders?
Cheers
Hi I haven’t been on the forum before. Can anyone connect me with David. His old email not working and I need to touch base about Loan I gave him in MAID.
@Ulpotha Please remove your private email address
Maidsafe the company is handling the loan and details will be given out soon as to how to redeem ANT for the loan payout
Burning through etherscan is the most brutal solution that I have seen for the first time in 11 years of active participation in dozens if not hundreds of crypto projects and airdrops…
I don’t understand why anyone would do this to their users when most have never even touched Ethereum.

It went pretty smoothly for me, but I also have no issues with the forum at all.
Instructions seem clear, and I managed without much trouble.
It was simpler than the Omni process once I figured out how to get my wallet connected to Etherscan, which took a bit of faffing.
I don’t think it’s that bad, though I’ll only find out for sure if I receive the ANT in due course!
It is clear that advanced users will manage. But what’s the problem with just sending the tokens to a burn address as is common practice. Why people have to go through this:

What wallet did you use? The only one I could connect with was the Coinbase one, and that in itself requires some getting used to. Maybe I’ve just been spoiled with using the TRUST wallet mainly?
Press the right button and the tokens dissappear into the crypto void… that’s what burning is.
Hopefully there won’t be any way of burning by pressing a wrong button that voids the ANT airdrop… even if there was, I would hope Autonomi could help manually as long as tokens were provably burned.
That would have been easier, and I would be interested to know why this method was preferred.
I expect many people will need to do it twice after forgetting to add the 18 decimals!
Exciting times ahead!
@JimCollinson what’s the process for people who participated in MaidSafeCoin Loan Scheme? If I remember correctly it was planned to handle this together with the TGE. Will the coins be sent to the original OMNI address, which then has to be burned, or will this be handled directly through ANT through another process?
