That kind of strength and resolve is nothing short of herculean.

Remember to put plenty black pepper in with your turmeric. I read a paper somewhere that showed more favourable blood tests when the two were taken together.
One of many putative/failed GRQ schemes investigated by me and my pals was importing fresh organic turmeric from Bihar (where we have many contacts) for health rather than culinary porpoises. But I really couldn’t see myself hawking my fresh(ish) turmeric round the healthfood stores in the West End…
TBH the only way I can take raw turmeric - whether fresh organic or out of a wee bottle - is with hot milk and lots of black pepper.
I keep the family healthy by adding twice as much turmeric and garlic as the recipe calls for.

We’re no deid yet

That was for TGE and hopefully perpetual data but they did say it’s possible a reset may be needed.

I knew you were ill because it was mentioned somewhere on the forum, however I had no idea how dramatic the struggle was! I think this is a story for a book and a film, and I am sure it will be made one day because I have long believed in this project, and nothing in this world happens by chance - your health and your project are a certain interdependence.

I believe that a winner is born, not made - so you certainly are one (and so are we with you):

Unceasing health! :crossed_fingers:

The consensus is that the black pepper helps a lot. But most important is to do as the tribe people did and some nomadic peoples still do today (with less health issues) is to ensure the turmeric is heated/cooked with fats. It is a food that is activated by cooking.

It is estimated to be upto 100 times more effective cooking the raw sliced/diced turmeric with meats/stew/olive oil/etc Raw turmeric is much less effective and may as well just have veges you enjoy.

I am growing it, and here grows extremely well and even get nice flowers from it. Even the leaves are good for having with food.

Also not heat it above a certain level, I think I read.

Also check out Lutein together with oil, has shown interesting effects on inflammation and such.

Low degree of inflammation in the body seem to be very good to improve the chance for a healthy long life.

All of these things have a negligible effect compared to physical activity. Sport, even a simple walk, when practiced daily has the greatest bioactive effect on health. Sitting for hours every day is death.

Normal cooking should not be too much. Maybe frying foods and burning them might be too much LOL. Stews, slow cokked meals etc are fine. Stir fries as well.

It all works together. And its not negligible, good nutrition has a lot of effect.

Turmeric was a basic stable of diets around the world till it was phased out in many cultures in the 20th century. Even reading English food history, turmeric was a stable, even used in custard giving it the yellow colour, till egg yoke (IIRC) replaced it

I’m not saying turmeric doesn’t work, I use it in everything from coffee to salad. I’m saying that exercise is the most important for health, which is something that this book has some pretty good data on:

Attitude is what it all comes down to imo. With the right attitude and willingness to live and enjoy life you will make sure yourself that you eat well and exercise enough. Anyway i thought we were discussing “Testing, Tokens, and TGE - Discord Stage Jan 28” here? I personally am very much looking forward to the write up of the Discord stage.

All I said was it isn’t insignificant compared to exercise. Nor that exercise wasn’t more important. Just that its far from insignificant in comparison. We need all these things. Bad nutrition makes exercise less effective by far

I have been training 5-6 times a week (CrossFit type stuff) for about 7yrs now. Don’t know how I got by without it. My day starts with the 7am class. We do some crazy stuff. Today I had to carry 50kg sandbag overhead for 40m.

At 47 I was 186cm, 82kg and 18% fat. Am now 54, 86kg with 10% body fat. Still 186cm - I haven’t started shrinking yet.

It’s all about good habits.

But I sit at a desk all day - maybe 10-12 hours. I have a desk that goes up and down. But it is down nearly all the time. That’s a bad habit I need to work on.

This is the best podcast about preventing and treating cancer I’ve ever seen. It seems this Dr has really cracked how cancer forms. Well worth your time. There’s so much truth in here the BBC had to do a bs hit piece on the podcast.

Mr. Irvine, I understand that you have received a lot of health advice…sometimes, so much information blocks and overwhelms…but the intuition of each human being takes them one way or another…
Maybe my comment is late… I don’t even allow myself to say that it is advice, I am no one to give advice… but Macrobiotics is a philosophy that can help understand many things… and it also helps with the food…
Many say that it is a sect… that it does not work… that… but today, there are very good books that talk about Macrobiotics… theory and practice… and you could search a good expert in Macrobiotics… a good one with experience would be ideal…
With the “eyes” of macrobiotics, you could understand the origin of your problem, with the intention of not repeating it.
Current medicine treats the symptoms, not the causes. That is why the problem may reappear.
Macrobiotics can give you many answers and help you take the right direction.
With all my love and humbly, I firmly believe that I could help.
With that intention I make this comment.
