Testing, Tokens, and TGE - Discord Stage Jan 28

eMAID will now also be a process of sign & burn, so there is no rush anymore to get ones eMAID into a wallet they control.

Seems like a sensible change to the procedure outlined earlier in the preview.

Still no need for KYC for OMNI MAID exchange

Anselme has done work to implement Registers again, using GraphEntry and Pointers. So that functionality was maintained, but not in a nice API that was easy to use. So Anselme decided to make that easy for everyone to continue.

The down side though is all updates will be paid, but a tiny amount of course, but still, that slows down updates for sure.

yeah by relying on that erc20 stuff for the time being atm storage price and all operations are dominated by the Blockchain TX fees; so no matter what you do it costs pretty much all the same and orders of magnitudes more than farmers get

…anyway … at least it’s in the area of cents and not full USD

I knew you had been unwell last year but only found out last night how serious it was. Well done for battling through—that’s truly amazing news. I’m super happy you’re still with us - and just on a human-to-human level, without any consideration for what it means for this project. Really pleased for you.

TGE
Thanks God Eventually!

YeaI would not want to do that every year. Initially it was palliative care and a write off, but I would not accept that and tried a multitude of things. I will write about it sometime, but I found the health system to be horrific and inhumane. We can do so much better for people and I am motivated to try even harder to help out there as there are people who care.

I was curious as to what method of treatment you chose. I know your a little busy at the moment but would love to hear your story some time.

Gee. I’ve been here only occasionally lately, but that deserves a few words for your tenacity and courage. You are a great man, David!

This is correct. TGE itself does not require a network reset. The tokens are generated on the Arb One chain, and then the contract updated. That’s it… economy live! This is why we can plan around a firm date, and coordinate the exchnage listed etc.

At the same time we are cutting an RC that will have breaking changes, which will land around the same time, this will require a reset. These things are related, but not dependant on each other. Handy if they can be done in one swoop together so there is one set of instructions and a single announcement etc… but need not be.

A mix of turkey tail mushrooms, fenbendazole (dog wormer  ), HBOC, Sauna, red light therapy and a mix of vitamins and minerals as well as pre and probiotics. My issue was not being able to eat or swallow for a while, even water came back out my nose, so that was bad.

I refused pain killers and a feeding tube, instead seeing the pain and discomfort as things I had to fight. When I could open my mouth a little (just a few weeks back) I tried to eat cold sliced meats, but the pain was crazy sore. So I got a treadmill and set it really fast and ran fast on it and pushed th food in  Not advisable.

In the last few weeks I can eat more and even speak a bit more each day, but severe tiredness is tough. I try and get some code done, but then when the guys say I need to run cargo fmt or whatever I have no energy and give up.

A large part of this is all about bloody minded stubbornness on my part I think. I just refuse to accept we cannot cure much of what ails us and I know for certain we can do way better than we are offered. i.e. I was offered no options. I did end up getting what they call “radical chemo-radiotherapy” which was kinda brutal after the doses of chemo I had before that (5 days straight each time).

Even with that though, I drove myself to the hospital (1.75 hours each way) which the doctors could not believe. Folk have. patient transport service, but I refused that as well  So a lot of bloody mindedness and every waking minute fighting the feker in my head. I still am and am in fact just finishing a 16 session high dose vitamin C IV as a type this. I will keep fighting a wee bit longer, just in case the tosser tries to come back.

Are/were you a smoker David? Pressume if so, it’s over.

My dad quit smoking when he got lung cancer, too little too late.

I was, but this was not smoking related. I had given up anyway but the oncologist said it was irrelevant. HPV was the cause apparently and it’s on the increase.

It used to be 1 in 7 got cancer, it’s now 1 in 2 here. The rates of smoking have dropped off a cliff and cancer going the other way. So while smoking caused or made cancer more prevalent (it did I think) the fact its decline passes cancers assent is a thing we should be concerned with.

Diet and these viruses we usually deal with that are now causing cancer need checked out. Something’s wrong for sure.

I should add, I had a load of dental work done and signs of swelling appeared 6 months later. It could have triggered something. Not sure

I also did that. In fact each day now I have 6 eggs, olive oil, turmeric, ginger and coconut milk in a pint glass. No sugar at all.

:flushed: unreal, good that you are sharing what helped. We need more of that.

Thanks for the response David, I can see why they don’t want to hand over your medical records. So glad you are open minded enough to try alternative solutions.

Did you ask for mebendazole?

Treatment with fenbendazole seem to be a thing.

I have been following oncologist William Makis on X ( x.com ) who treats cancer with Ivermectin, Mebendazole and Fenbendazole with astounding success.

Interesting David, thanks for sharing. I have a similar attitude to pain. I will seldom take painkillers because I see pain as an important message from my body which I need to listen to. I learned that through RSI (although I was already that way inclined) and it has served me well.

I had a mixed experience of the NHS recently - initial misdiagnosis by paramedic training to be a GP followed by excellent treatment - which will continue for a few months though the crisis passed quickly. The pain early on was bad, and I requested strong painkillers for it. I only took a few, mainly for sleep and have most of them left (I had the same stuff left over from a bike accident two decades ago but thought it best not to use those - although researching the shelf life of those and other drugs turned up some surprising info. Most medicines, particularly pills last many years when kept well).

Anyway no pain now.

What you describe sounds extreme, and so prolonged it is a testament to your resilience. I’m glad the worst has passed and hope things continue to improve, and fast. :hugs:
