sure - and it’s not like this would bring beneficial functionality :man_shrugging:

Yeah, you can customize the path where the data gets stored.

If you’re using safenode directly, pass in this arg, --root-dir <path>
Or if you’re using the safenode manager, use this arg, --data-dir-path <path>.

Chunking at home simply with
safenode --home-network --peer /ip4/142.93.46.42/udp/43338/quic-v1/p2p/12D3KooWSaCWsF2qLULtKTtjJPYpzCKn3X3aY19WdznPB5jUfmt3

This is indeed a Great Leap Forward. Thank you to The Great Helmsman and all his crew.

All in due course - this is distinctly non-essential right now

You might also want to check if your nodes are getting paid, i.e., clients should be able to PUT to your node.
Home nodes do easily get the replicated data from other public nodes, but receiving the PUTs (from clients) seems to be the hard part. So if we’re getting those, we’re all good

initially wanted to wait for the node-manager to be updated … but couldn’r resist after your screenshot here :open_mouth:

now running node from home as well! having 88 records, 99 puts and 7 gets so far :open_mouth: … very nice

edit/ps:

already earned 33 nanos from home

i’ve made the reset of the safenode-manager services. What’s the peer that the safenode-amanger should connect to?

safenode-manager add --count XYZ --peer /ip4/142.93.46.42/udp/43338/quic-v1/p2p/12D3KooWSaCWsF2qLULtKTtjJPYpzCKn3X3aY19WdznPB5jUfmt3 --version 0.106.0-alpha.4

is this just for me or has bandwidth usage decreased a lot since the last testnets? (or is my reference just scewed a lot because of the looping issues we’ve seen that won’t happen now anymore)

seeing the same here all my carefully calculated node joining intervals are out the window as well.
50 nodes joined with 11s interval without issue

still confused on why vdash still doesn’t show anything, Node Uptime: start time unknown. It’s like it does not see the node’s logs. Tried to uninstall it, reset the safenode-manager services and reinstall it but nothing has changed
