Rebranding is often a PITA ![]()
I don’t quite understand what you are saying in this message. The issue in your bridge screenshot is you are trying to swap such a small amount, you need a larger account balance.
Yeah, I know…
Story of my life “You need a larger account balance”.
I hear it at the Merc dealer, I hear it at the Lambo dealer and most hurtful of all, thats what the guy selling the Cherokee 140 said as well… ![]()
I very much doubt it. For safenodes to get data to each other or a Client the greatest latency will always be the network. Tens of milliseconds or even whole seconds. Putting a fast disk at the end of the line that can respond in less than 1 ms instead of a few ms is likely pointless. If you ever find that disk responsiveness is hampering the number of nodes you can run you are probably running too many nodes on the one machine.
Despite kindness from @scottefc86 Im still stuck trying to get a minimum 0.001 ETH on Arbitrum. Gas costs are ridiculous when trying to move small amounts. I suspect this is failing right now cos its such a small Tx and the networks(s) seem busy. Anyhow, that screen hasnt changed in nearly an hour now.
Sadly this does not bode well for those of us who have zero or near-zero crypto balances to hand.
I could sell EMAID for USDT on Bitmart - at a loss - then buy ETH with USDT and have to pay a withdrawal fee - but I CBA.
I’ll just look on and see how all this unravels.
If it puts someone like me off, then I cant see Joe Punter flocking to join in.
It’s about £8/£9 to swap £5 eth to arb on MetaMask ![]()
I have come to the conclusion that it isn’t possible to use Ledger (that I was going to use) with this latest network.
According to the instructions at:-
the network we have to add is ‘Arbitrum Sepolia’ which I believe is the Test network for Arbitrum. That seems to be not available in Ledger Live. Arbitrum yes, but not ‘Arbitrum Sepolia’. There is no option I can find to add a network manually.
The estimated gas cost is .00208 ETH to do the bridge. You are trying to send .00151 ETH with a balance of .00321 ETH.
.00321 - .00208 = 0.00113
You are trying to send .00151 ETH, you need to lower the amount you are sending for this to go through. You can also wait for gas to go down. Right now its about 14 gwei but if your patient you will likely be able to catch it sub 10.
A cheaper route would be to send ETH to a CEX that supports both ETH and ARB chains. Once it clears, send the ETH out on ARB for under .01c
Stop complaining we are not even in the bull market yet, you will be praying for these fees soon ![]()
I had some btc on a cex and swapped it for arb then sent it to my mm wallet about an hour ago but still no sign, should it take that long? I sent it on the arb network.
DM me the wallet address you sent it to and ill take a look.
I’ve only just managed to get “dressed” thanks to @rusty.spork
I think he’s going to be a busy man over the next few months ![]()
Addresses in Ethereum are accounts and each of them is independent ie. one private key (pass phrase ) can have an account compromised without other accounts being affected. I’m trying to tell you that you don’t need to use a different private key (pass phrase), just a new account.

Is my understanding correct that the next test network will only require the eth address argument, and not the discord ID argument on the safenode command line?
Aaand if so, will discord ID have to be linked to an ETH address in the future to receive beta reward tokens already earned?
From now on the rewards are tied to the eth address.
After Jan '25 they will get onto each of us to ask our eth address for our discord ID so they can send the rewards prior to today. You could use a 2nd address if you wanted to keep them separate
Clarified that WE will most likely have to contact them in January because otherwise it opens the door for scammers…

Yea, maybe. They cannot contact me except by the bot since I friended the discord bot they setup to give us our referral code. If they used the bot again then that can be verified by the user
For us contacting them also opens up scamming if they do not take great care in checking
