I have a balance of 0.004 which you kindly sent me a couple of months ago. Will that be enough to do some upload testing?
I did try to use that faucet at Ethereum Sepolia Faucet but it requires a real ETH balance to be on the address to work and I don’t want to get this ‘test’ account mixed up with ETH I’ve got elsewhere or link it to a bank account. Especially if this is the address where we’re going to get the real token sent to!

Isn’t this expected to happen when transactions on the blockchain ramp up. A prediction that is coming true. Or is it due to another reason? Hmmmm? Another reason for the native to be implemented ASAP and fees will be why native can be the only one for paying for resources when millions or even a billion people are using the network. If a handful of full time uploaders can jack up the price so much due to transaction rates then imagine millions uploading even small amounts

It highlights a risk even if we don’t know the cause right now or if this will also happen on Arb One. We now have a second independent layer which makes the chain twice as brittle given dependence on blockchain issues like fees and centralised points of failure (blockchain based services). Let’s hope the smart contract is flawless too.
Swapping the native currency may have sidelined some tricky problems, but as predicted, ERC20 has introduced other issues which are still surfacing.
Why was Dave delayed and delayed and delayed? Not testing adequately perhaps.
I think they run lots of tests on a local network but may not be doing much regression testing against the live network, which has long been where problems surfaces. That has been revealing bugs since April when I first began using it. Live network issues are still being surfaced by a handful of third party devs rather than the team who are always trying to meet a deadline. Much better to have a team who can focus on finding the issues and figuring out the best way to solve them, than one who are always pressed to get things past the existing regression tests.
I doubt they have anyone internally who is tasked with trying to break things and suspect they are all tasked with fixing issues they know about and completing the missing elements.

Having failed to upload directories (as archives), I thought I’d try individual files. Man, the gas is expensive though! I can’t even upload all the files individually, even after that top up! There are only 9 files of about 700kb total!
