I have reached out at times, be it closed threads or private messages but it is clearly a minefield for perception and also I dont see much point.
I did bring up a conversation I had with P2PB2B a while back, they were seemingly willing to go ahead without Maidsafe’s involvement at a fee of $10,000 or 1 bitcoin at the time.
But it is yet another crappy exchange so it went no further.
I think when money is involved it is better to tread very carefully.
People say “you invested more than you can afford to lose” when you attempt to protect your investment which is unfair. Wild numbers and not mine… if someone puts 100k into something and they can afford to lose it… should they be nonchalant about it?
No.
Anyway I digress
Any exchange that will list without Maidsafe’s involvement and without fees will only do so when enough community members pester them.
Our community is clearly not pestering enough or not yet large enough to achieve what we seek.
I have been supportive. He’s at an impasse due to gas fees. I’m not a programmer or I’d be there. Not sure what I can do to help him at this point. Do you have any suggestions that will get him past the issue with gas fees? He posted a video that may help. He wants feed back on it by those knowledgable on the subject.
Or they feel the stinging wrath of public sentiment from the general crypto community after a wildly successful batch of Testnets, or Fleming, or Beta . You get my drift.
History has shown that such exchanges typically vanish into the night shortly after any listing takes place. When was the last time MAID was ever listed to a decent, reputable exchange? The lack of a decent exchange is likely one of the biggest deterrents to not only acquisition but also trading volume.
Maybe everyone is getting anxious that the network will launch when the crypto bull market ends. This bull market is far from over with all the unlimited money printing going on.
I do understand both sides. Anyways, I think it is unlikely we are going to be de-listed from any other exchanges with all the development going on.
The test net is weeks away and it will be far more advanced than what was promised months ago.
I think we should let David and Team focus on what they have to focus on right now, so that we do get some great news soon.
No one can say any of that with any level of certainty. We are a few months away from 3 years of PARSEC being the answer to all the issues. I’m not suggesting we are there and I am certainly not hating on the fact that it ended up not working but no one know if MAID will continue to be listed or if a testnet is coming an a couple weeks.
Agreed, but I believe that the level of exchange that will list goes according to the size of the community.
We are a handful of hardcore fanatics without a product right now.
I am not stating that it is certain. No one can be 100% certain, but if we give David and Team a bit more support in order to get a working product out, de-listing is not likely.
Unlimited money printing is a certainty, so this crypto bull market will just be like the 10+ year bull market in stock and bonds, which also is a result of money printing.
I think the price has had enough slow-dancing at 40 cents while everyone speaks with uneasy minds and Bitcoin goes ham (not mutually exclusive things, possibly). Time for 45-50 cents until higher via testnet? Pretty Please?
You really can just do it, David. I, an ordinary person from a small country with an income of 1000 euros per month, paid 100 euros in fees and added PDC - a token with nearly $ 30 million in assets in the world’s largest decentralized exchange UniSwap. It cannot be stopped. Cannot be removed. There is no KYC. Works 24/7 worldwide. You really just can do it. DEX is the future.
Yes DEX is different, but the convo here was all CEX. If we got on a DEX then great, PDC went erc20 (not a simple task at all) and that allowed that to work. It would also make CEX easier too.
Right now with an OMNI token there is integration work, unless the exchange has other OMNI (omni usdt for instance). So for CEX it makes sense to choose those whoe already support the OMNI protocol or do an erc 20 project.
No, but if MaidSafe decides to support @DeusNexus efforts by paying for a code audit and then using the ready-made code to issue an ERC20 version of the token, people will trust and use it…
