MaidSafeCoin (MAID & eMAID) - Price & Trading topic (Part 2)

I believe many of you are too bearish on the token price. From what I understand, there’s no real incentive for those who can influence the price from a hype perspective, to do so until after the TGE. Additionally, it’s not in the shareholders’ interests to see a rising price at this stage or at least it’s not a priority. This is why the volume and price is so low at the moment. I don’t see where we are now as a sign of what’s to come. The real momentum will come when the browser becomes a tangible product that people can see and use, and when a few apps are built on the platform. That’s when the market will likely take notice, as it will ignite people’s imaginations and help them grasp the significance and potential of the network. At that point, the team and we as a community will likely ramp up efforts to showcase and really shout about just how groundbreaking this is. Once we reach that stage, I anticipate real excitement around the token, potentially driving it to the $10+ range, especially if we all stay committed and hold until then.

The tiniest bit of hype and expectation around beta launch sent the price right up to over $1.

I agree that once the network becomes visible & useful, and it’s potential starts to show in ways that get more people interested, price could shoot up quickly.

Saying that, I had previously expected a pump as things became more tangible ahead of TGE while supply was more limited, but the tangibility might only ramp up alongside a significantly increased supply at TGE, so perhaps sell pressure from increased supply will temper price rises.

I hope a whole bunch of useful apps come along quickly once the APIs are ready. Yes it’ll be great if this helps pump price, but more importantly it’ll mean people can actually use the network as intended… the more genuine utility the network offers the bigger impact it’ll have, and this will drive token demand.

Glad to see the optimism
For a positive price a network browser/browser plugin has to be functional before TGE.
If not, no one will buy old bagholders tookens imho.
Just beeing able to upload files if you have both brigded ETH on Arbritum and the network tooken after setting up metemask will probaly not be enought for a MAID bullrun.

I hear you, but from a broad appeal (i.e. your average person) perspective I don’t think we’ve had anything tangible yet in the lead up to TGE. So that pump you expected could still happen when the browser, APIs and some demo Apps drop over the coming months…

I wonder how this will play out… I suspect there will be a wide window of time for people to get themselves in a position to sell while they navigate a potentially new landscape of exchanges, wallets etc. Therefore there probably wont be a dump on day one. my suspicion is that most of us savvy enough to get ready to dump on the week of TGE probably wouldn’t anyway (unless price goes very high).

I certainly cant Imagine a MAID bulllrun this side of TGE - possibly a EMAID Jump in Jan if everything is on track and the team have some inspired stuff to shout about.

Patience cannot be bought or sold…
For this reason, human beings need to cultivate it, develop it, from within, outward.

I used to have this T-shirt

My mum hated it and it mysteriously got ripped in the washing machine and was reincarnated as a floor rag. One of the very few times I remember a proper screaming match with my mum…

When should marketing happen? Seems like there will have to be multiple layers of marketing. Market the marketing that will happen in the future on the market having been marketed to. And the larger layers of marketing in the future will have markets of markets ready to Market.

I think the plan is to wait until the network is stable, and usable (e.g. some basic apps / browser / wallet etc) before ramping up marketing, so that people who hear about Autonomi actually have something to play with when they take a look.

Let’s hope it’s not too long before this happens!

no point in marketing until we have a robust well-featured product.

So it’s now primed that a significant sell off in bitcoin is going to take us below 0.20.
I guess see this as a buying opportunity, or just hold and wait and see where we are in 12 months time.

I wouldn’t be so pessimistic. The network is stable, and the team is working to get tge first app out, and after that there will likely be more as the APIs improve.

Even if it takes a couple more months, I expect it won’t be long before the network is far more visible & fun to use. If marketing comes in on the back of that, it won’t take much demand to push prices up significantly.

Perhaps it’ll take a year to get there, but I hope & don’t expect it’ll take anything like that long… though Dave (the app) is taking his time making an appearance!
