I posted in another topic about trying to get MAID listed on Trade Ogre. I wonder if that is an option. They seem to be privacy inclined.
For day traders (target to sell) or for long-term investors, time to buy is ending. Accumulation zone is about to get a markup!
Happy New Year all. So, no new Testnet yet. Safe has its first competitor getting hype in Web3 being developed on blockchain tech and already getting hype as THE way to go. The future Safe Marketing and current Engineering teams will face climbing a mountain of daunting, competitive multi-media narrative immediately from big tech companies and the media, who will have already fully conditioned our respective mealy-minded societies that Web3 on the Blockchain is the future. It will not matter if Safe tech is better, it will only matter if it carries the logo âWeb3,â in order to ensure adoption. And there will be plenty of money behind it to make sure it will be the ONLY option.
Better work those last bugs, or this Safe Network horse may never even leave the gate.
There is a right and a wrong reason why the mass of people are involved in decentralized projects. The right one is that they have the potential to bring more good to humanity, the wrong one is that you press one .exe and earn free money. Safe covers both reasons and will be like an unstoppable wave once released in our world!
Privacy. Security. Freedom
Hm I wonder how I would fare making a YouTube channel all about technology on the Safe Network, once more things are, indeed, out of the gates (so that my layman self can better understand it and share how great it is, in hopefully some kind of flashy way; or some other people can do it better than I can). Iâm sure it will adopt pretty well, but if it takes a bit to get going because of brainwashing in another direction (like Web3, whatever that even is), then itâd be best to cater to all possible pockets of people who express interest in such a thing (which really, it kind of appeals to the base of human instincts anyway, hence why I think it should adopt pretty well) by creating content whether on YouTube or elsewhere.
Iâm not worried about the web3 hype at all. They are doing the hard work of promoting distributed web, which plays into safe networkâs hands. The pitch can then be âlike web3, but betterâ or some such.
Half the battle with marketing is convincing people that they need something in the first place. Successful firms are masters of creating new markets for things people didnât even know they wanted. They then position themselves to fulfill that new need.
Will the current crop of web3 solutions deliver with blockchain? I doubt it. The product will fail to meet the ambition, imo. Safe network on the other hand, has a good chance of implementing web3 as something genuinely usable and useful.
Let the other folks market the dream. Maidsafe can then deliver where the others will fall short.
I can understand that position, Traktion. Iâd just rather see the Safe Network get out, catch the wave, and surf it instead of waiting for the Web3 tsunami of hype to break and totally bury any other alternative, better options.
Exactly, this has been in the making for so long, it canât afford to have others that are direct competitors grabbing all the headlines. That will be especially true if there is substance to the hype.
âThe Safe Network: Itâs its own competition.â
The only problem I can see is: say for instance the safe net works properly for a year. But is there secretly something under the hood that will make it flop on its head, one or multiple years down the road? Will people be able to spot this before then? (How long before then?) Are there different size-of-the-network hurdles that require looking at different parts of code/results? A network working for 5 years and having half a billion or more peopleâs data on it suddenly losing everything is kind of intensely bad. So basically âis the technology provenâ but on steroids⌠well maybe not that much different than any other technology standing the test of time?
the simpler the algorithm the best. there are some smart people on economies that would make you wow about how simple they can design a balancing algorithm
Weekly Update? Anything? Scuttle? A Rumor? A Leak? A Tweet? Hello? Is there anybody out there?
Suspense continues gurgling up.
Complete silence doesnât portent to anything positive in my opinion.
@RedPill22 @realistiCinvestor there was an update today. Not sure how you missed it but you can find it here
I think we did not have a total of 2 updates over the holidays which some of the team worked through. Not really fair to complain about that.
Weâre not going to be really popping until this new guy comes in mid February and cleans house. The devs are crushing it. Hang tight.
Maybe take a break from the screen
Thanks Josh. Normally, I pick up the update link on the WorldCoinIndex coin pricing site. Didnât see it there, so I asked the question in the forum. Wasnât trying to foment any discord or complain given the holiday break.
HAHA! Yes, I actually did achieve less screen this holiday season.
Bump this back to the top!
Letâs hope we can all get 5 maid for a pound if btc takes more of a dip!!
I forgot this thread existed, because MAIDâs rise will never matter where other cryptos go. Well, it will a little. But the main event is in the network results.
Anyone expecting a Bitcoin flash crash soon?
