The SNT ticker is already taken by the Status Network.
Which I purchased some because I bet that there will be tons of people buying it thinking it is about the Safe Network.

Itās crypto, pure speculation, never any promises either way, and if there are promises be ultra wary.

You only pay tax on profits, in uk anyway, so no need to fear dipping in and out, I understand some countries like you to hold a year to become tax free, but 7 years, Iād be kicking myself for lost opportunities.
Thereās a diff between thinking there is no more upside and selling as opposed to selling, paying taxes and looking to buy lower.
Iām thinking of really doubling down on SNT investment if testnet significantly de-risks / proves this dream can happenā¦ Anyone else thinking the same? Or all buys done by now?

Thatās why you sell gradually.
To be fair, Iāve taken no profits as yet this last year, longer even.
But itās wise to take some, at least if price tumbles you didnāt hold out and lose your only chance.
Sure, I didnāt say take no profit, if thatās how people want to do it, now just seems early. Perhaps my risk tolerance is different.

I looked back at all my buys and while id like to buy more, i hate the idea of significsntly increasing my cost average.

To early for me also, just wanted to let others know, never be ashamed of selling, profit is profit and nothing is guaranteed.

True, me too. Tough decision to push up your average buy in price. But if testnet significantly increases probability of maid becoming a household name and price doesnāt follow suit initially - it may be worth it

I converted most of my crypto and Btc into Maid back in 2016 and 2017. I have continued buying Maid in the dips and at the bottom of the marked ( I hope) after 3 years of pain and lower lows you can say I am all in and done buying for now. But if the testnet is a success and we see a big retracement I will probably support a new higher low with some buys.

hey everyone, just checking in. Havenāt been around for a while. Any awesome new developments in the last few months for MAID? Did we ever get MAID on the ETH chain? Any new exchanges pick us up? Think of me as a newbie and tell me why I want to buy now.

I havenāt daytraded MAID in a long time actually. There has been so much action in other coins I didnāt even really notice the bag I had pumped lol. Pitch me on why I want to pay attention to this coin again now.
Maidsafe is likely to hit by a huge fall just as the others will be. The only question is to do we go much further upwards before the massive bear market?
The mainstream mania has now started so I think itās much less if but when this bear market commences.
After seeing many previous attempts at a test net show promise and then crumble after a short time, I feel that the technical risk in the project is still significant until a stable, stress tested network has been shown to work. Once that has been achieved, I think the risk of the project not getting off the ground for technical reasons drops significantly.
Of course there are many more risks beyond this, but surely showing that all of the moving parts work well together would be a significant step in the de-risking process?
I have a good position in MAID, but will certainly look to grow it if I perceive the risks to be reducing, and to me, having a smoothly working test net would increase the networkās chances of success significantly.

awesome news! It looks like a smaller exchange, but honestly Iāll take anything lol. I admit I kinda shyed away because it looked like we were heading towards HODL forever with no exit available. This is definitely a step in the right direction and I am thankful to everyone who worked to make it happen!
Not seeing them on FTX ā Global Volume Monitor. I would really prefer that to be comfortable trading there as it is a reputable independent audit of reported volume.

I believe this too. The team is fantastic, brilliant. Unbelievable perserverance. Truly fantastic. But thereās been many false dawns in the past and a stable test net will put this all to bed. It then starts to become a reality and investing is no longer a wild outside bet - sure you pay more, perhaps a lot more but the risk is significantly less

Ya ātestnetā is not a new development. If you want to pitch me to buy MAID that isnāt the way. Show me there will really be new customers. Just hyping people up here that already follow the project isnāt gonna move price alot. Tell me why I should expect a bunch of new people to notice this and jump on board.
