The problem is their grwn mn urny very good at chasing a baw around a fild

Note Dave (Glib and Shameless Liar) King below with one eye on the future and one on the past.

Shinty should never be played further than 200m from a well-equipped A&E unit.

when you grow up with a gun you learn to not run around making noise

I am sure that if the network is very successful that there will be some organisations/businesses that will fork the network for internal use. For instance those that have a large distribution of offices around the region/country/world, but their internal policies demand that the data in any form does not leave their infrastructure. Aust Govn has a policy that all data must remain in AU, so they could run a fork and distribute their IT infrastructure throughout the computers on every desk and some data centres with upcoming archive nodes, or just have large node ā€œfarmsā€ and backup systems.

As is always pointed out people can fork the code, modify it, and run their own network, but forking the data is not really a thing. They may be able to copy the public data given enough time, except the public data is always growing  . But they get none of the private data which is one thing that will stop a lot of people easily switching to another forked network.

I’ve thought about this too. Imagine companies or orgs that have thousands or tens of thousands of computers. They’d be able to network all of them for org wide storage and eventually compute.

Yes all those 1TB drives on the desk computers used by staff. That is a lot of storage space, saving on that server farm upgrade. Install their version of Autonomi and use existing network storage for high speed database and backups rather than all the file storage

The ERC20 branch seems to still be worked on, so actually not ā€œdoneā€:

Don’t let us wait anymore!

Perhaps this means something else: that if the scale is big, the ERC20 will be insufficient, so the Native Token will have to take over?
