Dear Autonomi Community,
Today marks a monumental milestone in our journey—the official launch of the Autonomi Network. This achievement is the culmination of nearly two decades of relentless dedication, innovation, and unwavering belief in our vision to create a decentralized internet that prioritises privacy, security, and user autonomy. And most importantly one that is owned by us all.
Reflecting on our path, from the inception of MaidSafe in 2006 to this moment, we’ve navigated numerous challenges and breakthroughs. But the commitment to developing a secure internet layer that defends privacy, data sovereignty, and allows open access to communication has been the immovable north star. And it’s a mission, and a technology, that remains as important today as it did when this journey began. The Autonomi Network stands as a testament to what we can achieve together—a decentralized platform where data is stored securely across millions of everyday devices, with privacy is the default, not the exception. This is a network run by us, for us, free from corporate gatekeepers and centralized control.
And today marks the touch-paper of the Network’s economy being lit. With the introduction of the live token, ANT, the oil of its internal market now flows — the autonomous supply of the spare resources otherwise dormant, now assembled into a dynamic market that anyone can access and build upon. A place for new dreams, creations, and innovations, no longer held back by monopolies or massive capital requirements. To our incredible team, your tireless work and ingenuity have been the backbone of this project. To our supportive community, your faith and enthusiasm have fuelled our progress. Together, we’ve built more than just a network; we’ve ignited a movement towards a more open and equitable internet.
As we embark on this new chapter, let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished and look forward to the transformative impact the Autonomi Network will have on the world. This is just the beginning, and I am honoured to continue this journey with all of you.

What you need to do now
With the long-awaited Token Generation Event behind us, the economy of the Autonomi Network is alive and kicking. Real ANT tokens are being earned by nodes, traded on exchanges, and used to upload and store data on the network.
If you’ve already been running nodes on the Network until this point, here are the very important steps you need to follow now to
Reset your nodes and get on the Live Network
As detailed in the guide, it’s vital for everyone to grab the latest version, and then reset their nodes.
And please take your time, and ease in gradually. This is all our baby now we must take care of it as it takes its first steps out into the world. And boy does the world need it.
