Did you get the logs from the operation? Might be of interest for maidsafe (for every client operation thereās logs being writtenā¦ But forgot where exactly to in this second ā¦)

I have been scraping on bigbox with your hourly script adapted to run every 4 hours to keep load down.
I was transferring the scraped coins to the wallet on my home PC where I was planning to use them for awe etc.
The annoying thing is this has worked fine less than an hour ago for ~9000 nanos and since again for 19 nanos.
Its the unreliability of it that pisses me off.
Yes I can retreive logs if @chriso @JimCollinson are interested.

Yeah, if you have the logs I think it would be good to pass them on to Roland or Qi on this.
Edit: btw though, I am not 100% sure about this, but, I think a lot of the wallet stuff will change with the introduction of the code being written now for the EVM payments system.

Yes, it seems RIAA type supply siders got in- a toll road with a private tax- a little private jurisdiction or central point of failure with a"until such time asā¦" clause where the clause references an off in the distance fully automated properly aligned distribution system but in the mean time cash-in and plausibly defacto UK State control or control through a merger with a Google type corp but ultimately its an appeal to the potential of AI, but with cash-in until that happens.
The use of the word āroyal-tyā was a tell. Another tell (@Jadkin thank you) were measures to prevent hard forking to remove the royalty toll meter or if I understood to prevent clones that have the subverting contaminant removed. So not actually forkable and if that is true that is such a betrayal, because forkability was credibility and promise all along, it would be a bait and switch on open that was at some point closed. And yet another tell was if I understood (thank you Jadkin again) the attempt to use block chain of all things for the toll road meter. Another tell was the massive over reach 15%??? How about .0000015%- slippery slope that that still is.
Its the tell of the all the market will bear rent seeker- who is like whatās the problem its half of what Apple charges- and they consider this kind of brilliance the indespensible contribution.
The community wanted an open network, something that would do to the current net what Skype and kin did to the telcos long distance scam. And now people may ask, why do I have to pay to use this network in a manner that feels like a bucket of minutes scam or long distance scamās revenge applied to the very internet that killed the long distance scam. Donāt I already pay the ISP? Why am I paying to use my own already paid for hardware? Are you doing what AOL did to people when it tried charge people $3.95 a hour to access internet content stored on their own hard drives? Pay for this because Iāll have less ads, attention stripping and privacy mining? More security? Isnāt security a never ending concern? What I am I paying for? Is this like cable that promised no ads and more channels for pay until it was pay plus ads or nothing?
What would Richard Stallman make of this situation? Its not FOSS its more in the spirit of some recent paraphrased thread comments āyouāre not going to be a commie and give it all away are you?ā or āyou just donāt know what its like to salivate with the passion of greed over a life changing tech because youāre impotentā or what the goubernator proprietor of closed bazarr wanted when he kept whining there wasnāt enough room for secret sauce grift in the Maidsafe licensing.

How about strip out the coin and kill PTP? Paying the producer was never a problem that needed solving but now that is tied to back seat investors getting never ending royalties subject to arbitrary increases. Looks like PTP was just cover for paying the foundation. Why not start at 30% like the Apple store or brick an mortar? Where is janitor- janitorās revenge, he would be proud. What needed solving was gate keeper free secure horizontal communication for the public for stuff like the Arab Spring.

What are the legal implications of a Tax/Royalty on a storage operations? If itās paid to an entity/foundation/business are they legally responsible for the content that has been uploaded?
If it was P2P then its easy to say you have no part in what users store. By being a third-party charging ātaxā, that could be considered as a broker? therefore responsible for what is stored?
Iām not a lawyer, but I think this approach is going to quickly land autonomi in some pretty hot water.
A premined slice that you vest in chucks over 10 years not be a better approach? if autonomi isnāt able to secure itself a provider of services to enterprises wanting to use the autonomi within that time. The network has probably already failed.

Forkability doesnāt change with ERC20. Data was never going to be be forkable anyway - the codebase was, and still will be. Whoever forks just needs to set up an alternative ERC20 token, or develop a native token system.
Also, royalties have been in the published plan since 2014, so if you didnāt notice that already you havenāt been paying attention.
So much negativity despite the significant progress is getting tiring, and while some criticism is warranted, it seems way over the top from many.
After all of these years I donāt think the team have suddenly lost their desire to see a better web, and the changes theyāre making are to get there faster.
I look forward to seeing more details, and feel the team has absolutely earned me giving them the benefit of the doubt where questions remain.

I think the team is doing a great job, was simply concerned, that a direct royalty could link responsibility.
Things have changed since 2014, code can land you in jail.

Yes, and maybe @Warren will remember them as 10% for app developers, 5% for core developers. And 5% for pay the producer
Now while the way they are received and managed has evolved since the days of safecoin plan, they are still basically the same now with some tweaking and allowance for rewarding those who advance the network. IE app developer has had its definition defined better allowing for a broader definition. An app developer is one that builds an app that makes the network more usable, and the expansion allows for a less strict definition on app builder to be used.

We were meant to get news of further testing for Wave1. The plan for what Wave1 were meant to do after the 12 week mark was up should have been made several months back and then refined in the light of actual events.
It is hard to come to any conclusion other than that this beta has been badly planned and executed poorly.

Where was the screening to ensure all Wave 1 participants actually had a clue? I hesitate to name names but I had to explain safeup to a Wave1 participant just last night on Discord. After >3months of him being in the beta. Wave 1 was supposed to be for the technically competent. And if we could not get 175 of them we should have gone with less in the short term. BTW where did this figure of 175 come from? Seems like it was simply a figure that made their beta rewards budget spreadsheet not explode.
Instead they tried to turn the beta into a mini get-rich-quick scheme for the occaisional lurkers and the few of the Gala mob that did pay attention for > 5 mins.
It seems like they were told āHere is your budget in tokens for the beta. Spread them around a bitā - and that was that.

Couldnāt agree more and I hope the next phase of rewards/testing are properly tested and prepared before being released. Even if that takes a few extra weeks thatās okay.
