Insights of IF voting

Hopefully they post the results :joy:

Yes would be nice if more people have a small flutter just for the fun of it.

I think the wild ride will start in backing phase, when there is no risk of losing ANTs.

That was me. I didn’t so much do analysis as vote on a lot (but not all) of the projects that I would like to see happen, even if they don’t make it into the top 12.

I guess I did one piece of analysis, which was to grab the address for votes so they can be classified in my tool, but I only needed one vote for that.

I don’t invest in votes. I do approve of some of the changes that disincentivize gaming the votes and I’ll leave my criticism to previous posts.

There are people who actively violate the rules. By voting from one wallet and moving the money to another wallet, they vote again with quite large sums, changing the ranking of the top 12.

It will be interesting to see if the rules will be enforced or changed post facto… Maybe they know something the rest of us don’t since they’re willing to risk such amounts of ANT.

Can you list the addresses and projects?
Id like to see the rules enforced I would hate to see good projects miss our due to someone gaming !

I have purposely not listed them because there is also a possibility of malicious voting with the aim of taking a project out of the game by getting over 50% of the votes and disqualifying it. Let’s see what the situation will be after the end of the vote.

Bloody hell why is nothing ever nice and simple :joy:

That would be an expensive way to get ahead of the competition.

To me it seems more likely that it’s someone trying to boost the votes to protect their ā€˜investment’ of prior votes by staying in the top 12… but if someone voted from the same source address via another address, it’s a pretty obvious attempt at gaming & I’m sure will still be counted towards 50% of any vote.

Hope this settles down and doesn’t turn into a game where some lose out significantly!

That’s wild assumptions stated as facts :face_with_monocle:

Maybe someone sold to his friends ant and eth p2p to vote for projects they all believe in :man_shrugging: :upside_down_face:

Edit:
… Or maybe the issue is that when wanting a decent return and the rules demands multiple accounts if nobody else plays this game with you…

Yes, he even sold ANT to two of his friends at the same time the same amount. What luck, I’m watching with interest to see if the second friend will vote too.

Totally plausible

I was about to suggest this.

Also selling the same amount could just be that person’s parcel amount they like using. Be it to friends, OTC, CEX, DEX, family

We cannot be 100% certain and I think that is the point @Dimitar

Those ants have back rests built into their bodies?

We can’t be sure, but I wonder if the team will interpret this as: * Your voting shows exploitative or disingenuous on-chain behavior
