I’ve made a wallet on omniwallet.org should my Maid show up as maid or will they still look like BTC?

You’ll see MAID when looking at your address using an Omni protocol block explorer

i think i may have messed up. i’ve tried to send my funds (including maid) from one wallet to omni wallet , then thinking it was another wallet tried to send funds from a different phone, but now i think it’s the same wallet. all transactions remain unconfirmed , and for different amounts ((i tried to send max amount, and as it said maximum amount was different i thought was another wallet)

both phones also claim to have some funds left in them (hopefully the maid, as it’s the only thing with value, the btc i just put small amount in for transaction fees) . the original phone had 2 accounts , one with what i think is 700 maid , but only shows as 0.00004 btc

the new phone (both running mycelium wallets) only displays one account

the confirmations have all cleared and the funds have gone through but still no sign of the maid
have check all addresses (i think) with omni explorer

How did you send the maid?
You cant just send the btc in a wallet to another and have the maid go with it, they are not like coloured coins.
You need to use a wallet that can use the omni protocol, like omniwallet.
So it would probably be easier to export the pvt keys from your phone, then import them to omniwallet, then generate a new address and send them there so that your phone is not a security risk, as those old pvt keys would not have a maid balance anymore.

ah yeah, that’s what i tried to do. I was trying to send them to my newly opened omni wallet. if i export pvt key to omni wallet should i then be able to see them there?

Ok, hang on, 1 thing at a time.
What steps did you follow to try and send them already?

i’d got btc in the wallet before, then moved that which left what looked like tiny bit of btc which i assume to be my maid. i then put a little bit of btc back then sent that to the omni wallet thinking the maid would go with it. now there is a tiny bit of btc left in my phone wallet , which i assume to be my maid , although it’s now more than was there when i started this which seems odd

Ok, that would only send the btc and not the maid.

Yes, if you import the pvt key into your omniwallet account you will be able to see your maid.

You can then use that wallet to send the maid to a new address.

Edit. Omniwallet only accepts pvt keys in certain formats, so you will need to export them in a suitable format. Good luck.

" Omniwallet only accepts pvt keys in certain formats, so you will need to export them in a suitable format. Good luck." - how’d i find the format?

ah, i see. i don’t understand, but I see. might resume this in the morning, it’s a bit taxing

Pvt keys can be shown in different ways.(formats)
Omniwallet only accepts some of them.
So try simply exporting the key, if it imports to omniwallet, all is good.
If not you can worry about getting the correct format then.
You’ll get there, dont stress over it.

To see your MAID you don’t need to do anything with private keys, just put your address into the block explorer that I linked earlier.
BTW this doesn’t belong in this thread. You should make a support thread if you need support. @moderators

Yeah, I realise i’m in the wrong place. My intention was to see my existing maid before going to buy more, but has proved to be a lot harder than i anticipated. I’m putting my receiving addresses into omniexplorer.info but it’s not showing anything. there is a few sats in them at least, should it also show the history of the address? anyway , i’ll take this to support and then return when have it solved.
thank you

It’s ok to discuss here now, that’s why our few posts are moved here.

If you just want to see your balance.
Copy your public key (address you sent coins to)

No need to log in to omniwallet.
Just pop that address in the box to check balances.

ah, we’re already in support! spooky!

neo moved our posts.
