To find an app or someone’s public uploads, will I have to type in a public key like an onion address, or will there be a DNS system builtin to maidsafe?
In my opinion a builtin DNS system is critical for mass adoption. The only people who can tolerate cryptic public keys are the tech savvy.
Yes there is a kind of DNS, using public identifiers akin to web domains, which map to the full key. People create public ids and get them on a first come first served basis.
There is a discussion about this somewhere on the forum, and here is David answering the question:
I’m moving this to “Features” as I think its a network feature rather than a network application.
