Final Call for Autonomi Impossible Futures (IF) Applications!
We’re just days away from applications closing this Friday, April 18th, so this is your last chance to apply or share it with someone in your network who should be part of it!
For those already accepted: we’ll be launching a dedicated IF channel in Discord in the next couple of days with everything you need to know about what’s next. Stay tuned!
Meanwhile, @JimCollinson has been busy creating fresh content on YouTube, helping spread the word about IF.
Plus, our podcast is gearing up again with new interviewees in the pipeline
Any announcement I make on Discord I always crosspost here. The only exception would be announcing the Thursday update, which you get the source here anyway.
When did you submit it? @Gill_McLaughlin is working through the ones which came in the last week. Some people didn’t include Discord names, so we don’t have a way to contact them back.
I think this may reflect the attitude of Autonomi towards the community and this forum which has been the heart of the Safe Network community for nearly 15 years now. Discord remains a sideshow despite its prioritisation.
It’s one reason I have felt the community have been sidelined.
Perhaps that can be taken on board. Maybe we need a section of the weekly updates with a list of current initiatives, upcoming events and recent announcements etc.
We have been raising this kind of issue for a year, and we have less engagement here, with yourself and ChrisO as notable exceptions.
It also occurred to me today, lamenting the lack of certainty over the future of the developer forum, that that would be a place for more members of Autonomi dev team to engage without “pile ons” etc.
I think the community, and certainly myself would welcome a constructive approach to these issues, and a change from sidelining and even attacking anyone here who is unhappy about things. There remain issues that are left unaddressed, which then fester and end up as a running sore. I can’t remember the last time @Bux engaged here, David seems to have thrown his hands up and left too.
This is a real shame because for all those years the community was a partner, Safe Network’s biggest evangelist and partner.
It particularly wrankles with me that the community is now painted as calling Autonomi names, without any justification, rather than Autonomi recognising we are still here because we support the project and Autonomi - why else FFS - and as far as i can see, don’t have personal issues with Autonomi or members of the Autonomi team. We remain supporters, it’s as simple as that.
