Congratulations to the entire Autonomi team on this monumental achievement! After more than a decade of dedication, belief, and resilience, you have made possible what once seemed like a distant vision. Launching the Network is no small feat, and it’s truly inspiring to see the integrity and thoughtfulness you’ve upheld through each phase.
Launching in this pragmatic way, focusing on stability, openness, and future-proofing reflects the commitment that David and each one of you has shown, a commitment that undoubtedly strengthens Autonomi’s foundation. This network is not just a technological milestone but a transformative step toward decentralization, autonomy, and digital freedom for all.
As the community finally experiences what this journey has led to, we’re excited to see how Autonomi grows, how it impacts lives, and how it demonstrates the immense power of a vision driven by purpose over profit.
To David, the visionary, Bux, and to each person who contributed to this milestone, thank you for your passion, innovation, and persistence. The journey is only beginning, and the future shines bright!
Congratulations @dirvine on the Autonomi launch and cheers to your indomitable grit. God bless you and the team for this launch and I too hope for Autonomi’s success going forward. I’ve been here observing quietly (and occasionally replying) from across the pond as an investor for many years. My hope is still to Google Autonomi soon, see the link, enter the user-friendly GUI’fied interface, create an account, and start hosting nodes.
BTW, for heaven’s sake I hope you’re back to full health so you may enjoy the blushings and coo’s of your newborn baby!
Just wanted to follow this up. We did identify a bandwidth increase in our latest comparison. Sorry, it has been quite a hectic few days. So, we will be doing something about this, definitely. We can’t say what the cause is yet, but it can be narrowed down because it was between two fairly close releases.
My assumption is that it’s not going to be 1:1 for current atto earning, as that basically means zero rewards for those participating in this stage. I expect the earning will be proportionate, so if you earn 0.5% of all attos in this stage, you’ll reecive 0.5% of the Network Token pot allocated to this stage… as it was with the previous stages of the Beta rewards.
I think a reward ‘pot’ was mentioned somewhere relating to the time between now and January, which would indicate this is the case, though I can’t find that message from a quick search. Edit: but I see Bux has said again in Discord “noting again that test tokens, rewarded beta tokens and maid (inc emaid) - will be 1:1” which seems to indicate there is no pot, but I expect this isn’t correct given the minute earnings so far… unless uploads really haven’t kicked in yet?
If there’s no pot, everyone should be asked to only offer 10% of previous nodes until store cost hits X amount… it may be pretty hard to simulate the economics if supply of space is far higher than demand for space, given that there is only one source of uploads (limited demand) & many people set up to offer nodes (big supply)
Or, best case for those running nodes; just keep announcing 1:1, and at the last minute announce ‘As we didn’t use many of our 500k tokens, the remaining tokens will be distributed in proportion to earnings’
Anyway, let’s see if it’s clarified, and also whether they may indeed be able to fill up the network to get the competitive forces working
We have posted 2 leaderboards so far, each distributing a 125,000 token allocation (250,000 total). The following week, EVM testing was delayed, resulting in no token allocation since no testing occurred during that time. Lastly, the leaderboard and token allocation details for the phase 2 testing week completed just before launch has not yet been released. We are still working on that for yall!
I think the question is to clarify what’s happening with rewards for this stage, between now and the full-launch / TGE in January.
The question was raised, as currently rewards are practically zero if it’s 1:1 with network token at launch (I’ve been running a few hundred nodes and have so far earned about $0.00000000000000016, assuming a 1:1 conversion rate & $0.25 token price).
So the question is, what will incentivise nodes in this stage? Perhaps the answer is that nodes shouldn’t join until the existing nodes are sufficiently full and the store cost will rocket to more interesting levels, or is there a reward pot that will be split among participants as with previous stages in the beta rewards program?
Thanks @rusty.spork thats how I got to 3 in total to and my assumption is thats ends the rewards pools.
What @DavidMc0 and I need clarity on is the current situation, now until TGE, whatever we earn between now and then is 1:1, or is there a pool for this period too?
Shit i just made a new wallet. Do I need to reenter a new wallet address? Is the whole system going to crash? Also how long does it take for nodes to connect?
