Is it possible to hazard a guess of a private key with just the public key with this process? By using a certain number as the multiplication (prime number or some other magical number) that only certain numbers are divisible by? Again though the alphanumeric part is baffling me?
No more likely than guessing the private key of any public key. It is a neat little trick, if only I could wrap my head around how the multiplication is done.
Come on @Josh this is basic stuff
I don’t read chinese, is there an english version
When I have to google something and then have to google something in the original searches first sentence I’m out
Did anyone answer you question about how to multiply a “number” with letters in it.
The simple answer is that the original number is converted to a string of letters and numbers (that is seen by you) to shorten the display of the number and actually make it easier to manually copy letter by letter. So to multiply then the string is converted back to binary number and multiply happens then convert back to a string for display/storing
Thank you Rob!
Simple now that you have pointed me in the right direction.
I believe it is hexadecimal to decimal, multiplied and then converted back to hexadecimal.
Forgot to mention usually the string has check fields in it to detect errors when copying. BTC has this
Some people still use rot13… rot26 for the win!

P.s.
If your eMAID wallet was created ‘online’ you might want to create an “oflline” wallet and transfer your assets there, just in case…
Hardware wallets are having a real good time lately.
“We uploaded the firmware we extracted onto our high-performance computing cracking clusters," Michaud explained in the video. "We have about 10 GPUs, and after some time, we extracted the keys.”
Michaud further claimed that fixing this exploit for Trezor T would require a recall of all their products.
Granted they need the device…
So one expects that a single GPU could crack it in as low as 10 times that of the 10 GPUs. Maybe a single 4090Ti GPU could be quicker than 10 times. What of next gen GPUs, faster again.
This means that the Trezor hardware is very much dated as to its security if you can get a hold of the device.

I sometimes battle with, is it appropriate to share content here that is by a member of this forum but not shared here, yet shared elsewhere.
Idk… opinions?
I would say it sure is appropriate and helpful
Sure, fire in!
I’d much rather we get the word out about what we are working on as far as possible.
And more generally, I think we could benefit as from the amplification power of this community.
I’m actually trying to make a conscious effort to to externalise more of the work and thinking that is going on, and the richness and depth of ideas and vision that is often contained within this forum (or even in our heads!).
Firing out that post is part of that…
I have been patiently waiting for ChatGPT with internet access!
Turns out it needs to be enabled
Anyhow, hopefully I am not the only fool!
Great stuff Jim.
Don’t feel bad, I did the same thing. Now if only it could stop making up fake info and browse faster…
