The Australian Misinformation Bill is not just wholly unnecessary, it’s an abject travesty. How did such a preposterous overbearing, undemocratic, anti-science and dangerous piece of legislation get past the first focus group? It wouldn’t survive a high-school debate, and yet, here it is?
Misinformation is easy to correct when you own a billion dollar news agency, most academics, institutions, expert committees and 25% of the economy. The really hard thing, even with all that power and money is to defend an absurd lie and stop people pointing it out, which is surely the main purpose of the Misinformation Bill amendments. The government can already correct any misinformation that really matters, so these amendments curtail our freedom of speech for no benefit at all.
Let’s hope it stops with this. If Israel responds, it’s going to get ugly.
BTW, they are normal ballistic missiles - so naturally they come in at hypersonic speeds - these are not the new hypersonics that start out at hypersonic speeds.

True. What I meant though, was it could get ugly for the rest of the world if this: shuts down oil, brings in the US and NATO, escalates to WW3 and then goes nuclear – that’s the ugly for all of us and a good personal reason for those who otherwise don’t care, to really care about this situation.

Look interesting. I’m still favoring Musk as Satoshi. He has mentioned in interviews that he taught himself computer programming at a young age. He coded in multiple languages, including C.
He avoids talking about and promoting BTC - even going so far as to promote doge on occasion, thus keeping suspicion off of himself. He also is one of the few in the world who has no motive to sell the pile of BTC sitting in Satoshi’s wallet as he has plenty of $$ already.

Now you know why large scale blackouts cause an increase in birth rate. Its not the myth of hot showers but the fact more couples do it during the blackout than otherwise. And that drinking while watching TV makes it worse.
